Wow, you guys go back early!! We don't start until the Wed. right before Labor Day. I do have kids screaming "boredom" though...... Ugh.

DD is doing ok with her over the road driver training. I had her drive home on Thursday from the school. The road does have some nasty curves. Boy was I glad when we hit our development.

We have 6 weeks till school starts.

The fire department was in my development about noon. It's so dry here that some mulch was smoldering.

Morning SadieDog! How's life in Maine these days? Have you had all this heat or are you far enough north to escape it?? It's been brutal here.....I love hot weather but not in New England where A/C is scarce....

Yesterday we took DS10 to camp WAY up in Vermont.....they are like 15 miles (as the crow flies) from Canada!!! He was so excited and I hope he has a good week. I do know he gets to go horse-back riding, which he loves.

Yes, we have had the heat. It's been miserable, but I think it will be cooler today.

I bet it is beautiful at that Vermont camp.

It is gorgeous up there! Still VERY rural.....lots of dairy farms. I'd never been further north than Stowe, but this area has a different character to it.

I'd like to see Vermont. I've only been to Highgate to a Grateful Dead show 18 years ago so I didn't actually see Vermont. Only saw thousands of Dead Heads.
