I think that you need to take WDW out of the equation and decide if it's the right time to add a baby to your family. As much as I love WDW, I would not plan the timing of my family around it. Consider the ages of your children, your age, how long it might take you to get pregnant, and the finances of your family now and in the short term future. If it all comes together as a time for a baby, them go for it. I used to plan trips a year away, but as things changed in our family, I have planned a lot of trips a month out and they have all been just as wonderful! Save the money as you would if you were booking it, and see what life is like a year from now. A six month old, in my thinking, is easy and fine to take to WDW. Will it change your trip....absolutely....but it's going to change your WHOLE life anyway!!!! The thing is, you have no idea how long it might take you to get pregnant....you could be 9 months along at your trip date, or your baby a new born, or you may not have even conceived yet. I think is a good idea not to mention it to your son yet, and certainly don't link the trip to the baby in front of him in case that does come into play. I also would not ask him if he wants a sibling unless you are willing to accept his answer if it is no. Ten is a touch age to welcome a new baby into the family, and it certainly should not be left up to him to decide if that happens. Given the trip is so far out, any chance you could seek legal assistance to allow your 7 year old to go too? That might be a much bigger issue than the baby. Good luck.....Micky is cool, but babies are cooler!!!
