Just received an email from BA saying that their sale starts Thursday. Florida is included but I don't know what dates are covered.

Also, Just had a text from Virgin Holidays saying their sale starts 26 December 2011 with great savings for all

In my experience they increase the price of flydrive/packages to give a discount making them more expensive in a sale.
Last time I used VH(Xmas 08) I booked just before a sale, gutted when they offered 15% off until I checked they price, I paid a lower price before the 15% off.

I've just had a look on Kayak and the current prices are higher than they were last week for both BA and Virgin, mind it's BA who have the biggest increase. I booked last week for next november using miles and money and got my filghts for approx £445 from gatwick which im happy with.

Been checking flights for October from Edinburgh, last week £585 today £1620, guess it will come back down in their sale
