Airline food in economy is six and half a dozen. When are you going? I'm flying on Tuesday and will let you know what they serve up. Normally it's the usual "chicken or beef?" something or other, a stale roll and some sort of dessert.
As terrible as all other airlines. Guarantee there'll be a bread roll.
It is as bad as the other airline's food
Unless you fly first/business you'll have the same kind of meals as any other airline

we are not going till November, hope you have a lovely holiday.
Thank you. I swore last summer I would never fly BA again, but got a flight last week for £360. Shortest countdown ever, and at that price, too good an opportunity to pass up. I usually eat before I fly and enjoy some wine on the flight, but I will pay attention to what they serve this round and let you know.![]()
If you like fruit one of the special meal requests was a fruit plate and it was really good![]()
just a quick add on, do BA serve the same as Virgin, lunch, snacks (pretzels and ice cream) and late afternoon sandwich along with free drinks.? and what is there film selection like compared to Virgin, thanks

As promised (and I'm so darn impressed that I remembered to come back to this thread)
BA2037 LGW-MCO on Tuesday:
Chicken Tagliatelle
Sweet Honey chicken
Sausage and Mash
Those were the economy options. Dessert seemed a standard chocolate mousse with caramel or something in the base. The lady beside me said it was good. She and her husband both had the honey chicken and said it was terribly greasy and didn't eat much of it. Guy across the aisle had sausage and mash and pretty much cleaned his plate so either it was good or he needed something to line his stomach for the booze. I didn't see anyone with the pasta option so I can't even report what it looked like. I brought my own snacks and things with me so I was only interested in the wine
About 90 minutes before landing they brought chicken mayo sandwiches around and offered coffee and soft drinks with them. They looked fresh enough and most folk around me ate all of it. I think there was a chocolate or something in the pack too, but didn't see what.
Anyway, hope that helps. I am going to order a special meal for the return purely out of curiosity. I will randomly select a category and report back on the return next week.
Get the fruit - it's 3 courses of just fruit lol
