B2B - new lanyards and castaway gifts?

Since they are technically two different reservations, yes. You'd get a second set.

Yes, you get a new set of lanyards and another gift in your cabin. The only hiccup we have seen is if your are one level on the first cruise and move up a CC level on the second. You have to follow up to get the right lanyard/gift but they eventually work it out.

I have found that sometimes you have to ask if you want a second set of lanyards. This has happened to us twice, the first time I never bothered asking for them as I didn't need them. The second time however, I wanted them for a friend who wanted to do some crafting with them. They gladly gave them to us with no issue.
Never had a problem with them leaving the second gift in the cabin, its always been there.

I had to ask for a 2nd lanyard at check in, and they gave it to me without question. But I asked my stateroom host to not give me my 2nd gift b/c I didn't want it.

We were not given another lanyard set. But should have asked....

ok so is there a check in process then? I guess I just assumed we left the ship and corraled to the concierge section and wait but I suppose it would make sense there's a similar check in process again, do you just check in at concierge and go through the motions again?

It is two separate cruises as far as the system is concerned - the first must be totally closed out and the second checked in as if new. The only difference is they allow you back onto the ship early.

When you get off the ship and clear customs you go right back up the elevator to the waiting room just they way you did on your first cruise. We have often seen a cm or two wondering around however, depending on the time you get to the waiting area, they may have you wait a few minutes till they get organized before you check back in. I heave read other reports that they will check you in right away however that has never been our experience. Might be that we are usually in the waiting area by about 9:00 or it might be that we have only ever done this on the Fantasy and it could be different for other ships/ports. Our experience is that we wait till about 10 o'clockish and they will call the b2b's up for check in. Check in takes place at the front check in area, not the Concierge area. Then we are free to sit in the concierge area. About 11 or just before they open the concierge doors and call for the b2b's to please board. Again, I have read about others boarding much earlier but have never experienced that.

That was our experience on the Fantasy, also. We were directed to be off the ship by 9:00. Through customs and back up the escalator. Check in opened (for us) around 10:00 and they directed us to wait in the Concierge area. At 11:10 B2B people were called to the side door and allowed to board, followed immediately by the Concierge guests, then everyone else.

On our Barcelona B2B turn around day, all the B2B people met onboard and were escorted off the ship as as group as soon as everyone else was off (around 9:00). Then we were checked in and allowed to reboard immediately. I think we were off the ship about 10 minutes.

Yes, you will check back in for the second cruise. This is why if you are walking off the ship unescorted it doesn't pay to leave early. They cannot open up check-in for the second cruise until the first one is closed down. So if there are still people in Shutters getting their photos straightened out, the first cruise is still open. We usually have to wait at least a little while before they open up check-in - but since we wait on the ship that's usually just a matter of minutes. As others have said, typically the first counter to reopen to check-in b2b guests in PC is closer to the supervisors desk (not in the concierge/platinum area). Every time we've done a b2b (we've done 13 b2b's) we've been given our lanyards. Sometimes they ask if we want them or not but haven't had a time when they just ignored that part of the process entirely.

We went from silver to gold on our B2B but they gave us both on our first cruise for some reason. Same with the gift both bags were gold level.

Our check in process was a bit of a mess. We were concierge but there were no concierge staff to print the room keys from the right machine. The other staff didn't know how to do it...

But the others were ok.

that happened to us once before and they just gave us regular room keys and when we got to the concierge lounge, the reprinted the keys in "gold" for us.

Yes! After what seemed like another cruise in time that is what they ended up doing. It wasn't too bad though as in the meantime a lady in her DCL dressing gown another guest decided to stand in the middle of the terminal miming with all the actions to let it go.. It was really quite amusing..

At breakfast on the turn-around day, do they mind you hanging out in Cabanas til 9? We won't want to eat in our assigned MDR bc we have main seating. Where do you suggest we hang out if not in Cabanas til 9? We wouldn't want to be in anyone's way and appear to be lingering too long.

After breakfast I just hung out on the pool deck reading until around 9 then wandered down to the atrium to leave and go through customs. I did eat in my assigned MDR that morning even though it was early seating b/c I had made friends with some of my table mates and wanted to see them one last time to say good bye.

We were given a letter the night before debarkation and told to meet in one of the lounges prior to debarkation because there was a group of B2Bers. So we went to main dining breakfast, then back to our room to hang out, then met in the lounge at the appointed time. I guess if there isnt a large group of B2Bers you can just hang out wherever you are comfortable until last call.

thanks all, I will be sure to ask, most of the reading indicates to stall on the boat as long as possible, like 9 or 930, it would be helpful though if they corraled us into a lounge so we had a place to chill on the boat, very helpful stuff, thanks again
