I'm taking my two boys to WDW for their birthdays. They will be turning 4 and 2. I've already booked a character breakfast but was wondering if anyone could recommend a a restaurant that might offer a fun dinner experience for them. TIA.

My boys were the same age last trip. We did almost all the character meals (except princess meals of course!!) Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace & Gardn Grill were their favs, but for a birthday dinner I think Mickeys. We saw a little girl celebrating her 2nd Bday & it was cute. This trip were doing breakfast w/ Stitch! They can't wait, character meals are so much fun for them, we try to do one at least every other day, it really makes the DDP worth it.

Personally, I love Chef Mickey's and think it's the best character dinner out there. Of course, you're paying more for all the A-list characters more than the food, but it's still a great place. I think your boys would really like it.

Do they do anything special for birthdays? we've been to mickey's once before for breakfast and it was a lot of fun but I didn't see anyone celebrating a birthday. I've never been there for dinner and the birthday trip is a first.

I went there for my birthday in June/06. They gave me a special placemat with Chef Mickey and all the characters signatures on it. Then near the end of my meal all the characters came out, Minnie was holding a cupcake with a candle in it and gave it to me. I thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure they would make a bigger fuss over younger kids.
