Aww, Isn't It Cute? Snake Alert!

I feel the same way. I HATE SNAKES!!!! We have little garter snakes here but too many. Over the past two years my cats have managed to bring 4 snakes into my house (and those are the ones I've seen). Needless to say I let out a loud scream and I'm out of my house in about 0.03 seconds. The strange part is that the only outdoor access my cats have is in 8' x 8' caged enclosure off the side of my house accessed via a cat door in a window. It just shows you that snakes aren't very intelligent creatures if they are willing to enter a cage with 2 cats. I just hate the feeling of not being comfortable in my own home, wondering if there is a snake hiding somewhere.
:scared1: :scared1:

Just watch your kitties with any snake. We got a snake in the house, it was tiny, but it bit my cat. It wasn't poisonious, but the bite got infected and I'm having an on going battle with her having an absessed foot.

I don't mind snakes, but I respect them. When I go to pull weeds, I always look around first to be sure none are in the vicinity. There is a black racer that lives in my flowerbed. I just give him a little space.

Since there are some not so nice snakes that live in this area, I make sure I don't invade their space. The other day, a ground's keeper for a hotel in the Orlando area was bitten by an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. He will be okay, but is still in the hospital. I don't need that type of encounter!
