Awaken Summer MagicBands

Can anyone tell me what the Awaken Summer magicbands actually does? I know its supposed to make a special sound effect when used but wondered if anyone has actually used it yet and can give some more specifics? Not sure if I want it or stick with a solid. Thanks!

The packages with bb8 bands don't start arriving until June 12th

I assume it'll just make the sound that BB8 makes. Like an R2D2 droid type noise. I don't see it making anything else

It will activate sounds at the FP and Entrance tapstiles in all 4 parks (reported by @ethanwa on his MB site):
MK - music from the new Castle stage show
Epcot - Frozen "In Summer"
DHS - BB-8, Imperial March, or Tie Fighter sounds
AK - Rivers of Light music (show isn't even running)
Blizzard Beach - Kristoff and Sven

I have yet to confirm those lights/sounds, but I will be out in the next week to get videos of all of it. From what I understand, they may have changed from my initial list there. I have my BB-8 band in hand already.

I had mine may 30 And It make sounds And rainbow Colors almost everywhere. At Hollywood studios is the voice of bb8 but In the entrance of others parks i don't realy hear It because of the crowd.

Just to see the rainbow Colors this girl is happy!

I was at Magic Kingdom yesterday and got rainbow lights but couldn't hear what the music was, today at Hollywood Studios it was white and orange and BB8 talking.

I'm so excited for my BB-8 magic band! I just can't wait until someone uploads a video so I can see the effects I saw on a website that the band isn't customized (like with a name) and you pick it up at the resort instead of it being mailed to you. Can anyone confirm this?

There are confirmed reports that the Awaken Summer MBs arrived at the homes of guests who will be in the parks soon. There's another couple of threads with photos taken when they arrived.

I can confirm that we "ordered" one of the BB8 bands for my son for our upcoming trip. It DOES have his name on it and we DID receive it with our other bands that were mailed to our house.

We got ours a few days ago. They arrived along with our luggage tags. Can't wait to try them out!

It looks likes they only come in blue btw.

Animal Kingdom it makes growling sounds like a tiger and is pink and orange. You can see the video on the MagicBand Collectors Facebook page.
