Awaiting vacation picks

OK I am not sure if I am in the right place with this, but is there anyone else out there who is getting ready to or has a sign. other that is getting ready to pick next years vacation?

It will soon be time for DH to pick his vacation for 2006 and we have an 8 night trip planned for April 27 to May 5 planned. I am nervous that he will not get the two weeks off that we need for the trip. His plant does vacations by senority and he has been there for 8 years. There are alot of guys ahead of him, and still quite a few behind him. This coming year they are planning on letting two less people off each week. We went last year the first week of May and there was only one or two other people off that week. I am still thinking that he should have a good chance of those two weeks are there are not any hunting seasons happening, easter break just occurred and school is not out yet. But I still will be nervous until we know for sure, esp that things can be booked 180 out in advance.

I have been thinking that if he cannot get those weeks, to see if we can go in December. I watched the Disney special on Food Network and would love to see WDW at Christmas time.

Please send pixie dust that he gets our weeks.

I feel your pain, it's so nervewracking not knowing. No one else I know around here has to choose their vacation up to a year in advance.

My husband just heard this week and he didn't get our first choice week -- but it is the school break for Easter, so I wasn't surprised, and had a contingency plan in place. I'm relieved to just know, so we can finalize plans for February.

You should have much better luck since it's not a school break. Sending lots of pixie dust your way.
