Average price of CR or Poly in october

We are considering the CR or the Poly in October. I am hoping that fall discounts will come out, but I can't find any historial info on these two resorts. We have free dining and our family of 4 (5yo and 1yo) will be around $3K without airfare. Is there any way I can get a better price? Does Disney ever discount the rooms and let you keep free dining? I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

In order to get Free Dining you have to pay rack rate (full price) for your room. I believe Sept is value season (not sure if Oct is too) so the rate will be lowest of all the seasons...however not discounted (and the deluxe non-discounted price is still pretty steep during value). So to answer your question, historically, no..Disney doesn't discount the room and let you keep free dining.

Historically if you look at the average rates between the Contemporary and the Polynesian, the Contemporary has had the less expensive rates. So you would compare both their Garden Wing rooms, their Magic Kingdom Views, Club Level rooms and finally the CR Bay Lake View to the Poly Lagoon View.

It's the regular rate with out any discounts. Or rather the most they charge for that room at that time period. Disney has different "seasons" and each season has a different rack rate. The same room cost less during value season than it does during peak season.
