Need Contact Info For DVC & Poly Leadership

There are a lot of DVC villas at VGF and Polynesian but there are still plenty more cash rooms at those resorts and they are the flagships of the entire resort, along with Contemporary.
My point was not just the DVC money they have, they've also already gotten the money from the cash staying guests. It would take too many CM (aka expenses) to keep people out of the beach area. Whereas, when @sndral was escorted out of MK it was because they had not paid for the party and it only took 1 CM who was already there to do so.

They were good about keeping people off the grass at VGF over July 4th (I was asked to move). So they have enforcement for what they care to enforce. They just don't really care if non-resort guests are at the resorts over July 4th, wristbands or not.

Mears is $16 per person per way, so for a family of 5 you're looking at $160. If you need transportation outside of the Disney bubble to Universal or Publix that certainly shifts the math though. We live driving distance (about 8 hour drive) so we drive for week-long trips. For a trip that long it's nice to have a car, for sure.
I just priced Mears for my weeklong February trip I have planned - family of 4. Standard roundtrip pricing was about $130, express is $250 (no idea whether express is worth it since I've never used Mears). Rental car I already have booked is $490 inclusive of taxes (and will likely rebook at some point for a lower rate - won't be surprised if I get it down to $400-$425)). I'll gladly pay a couple hundred dollars to have control over my transportation even if I don't end up using it. Now, if I knew I were going to have the experience of OP at my Disney resort, that would be a different story.

I can sort of understand the lack of complete enforcement on the monorail loop with regard to watching fireworks over July 4th or NYE. Those are the sorts of holidays that, no matter where in the USA you're watching fireworks, people are going to find the places they can to watch fireworks. I'm sure Disney is no different than the strip mall near me where people camp out to watch what is likely a much more pathetic firework show and take up parking spaces that patrons of the strip mall could otherwise use.

But, policing the parking lot at the monorail resorts seems like an easy task for Disney to make sure they enforce. There should be enough parking for hotel guests period. I would similarly have been pretty enraged if there wasn't a single parking space available at Poly while I was actually staying there - it would have been one thing to say, well, Poly tower parking lot is full, main Poly has spaces, but the TTC? That is ridiculous. I hope Disney is listening to OP's story.
