Ok moms, dads, boys, and girls. The new season of Avatar: The Last Airbender starts tonight 8 est!!

Ya'll have McDreamy, I have a 12 year old Avatar Spirit!! LOL The boys and I will be glued to the TV so don't call me!

:happytv: :happytv: :happytv: :happytv:

My DS loves that show too. I've watched a few with him. He asked for the box set for xmas too...

Can you believe how much it costs?!?!? Why is it that Japanese & British shows cost so much more on DVD than American stuff? :confused3 The only shows my kids want on DVD are things like Robin Hood, Doctor Who and Avatar. If we actually got them, that would be all they'd get!!

We watched it last night and had to put off recording Doctor Who & Flash Gordon until 1am. :lmao: Can't miss Avatar. ;) But we completely forgot to record it!! DD didn't think of it until it was half over. She wanted to record it for DS who is currently living without a TV/cable. He has a special video card for his computer that allows him to use a VCR & DVD player, just not get the TV signal.

Yes, it's $61.99 for the complete book 1 at Borders. I missed the 50% off coupon because DS didn't tell me he wanted it till the day after it expired. I'm going to try to get it this weekend though with the 30% off coupon...

My kids always want the expensive sets for xmas too...but I can't really say anything, I asked for Buffy the Vampire Slayer complete a few years ago :teeth:

Wasn't it great?!

I  Avatar.

Kitara kicks butt!! If I waterbended, I'd want to bend water like her.

I even gave up my Dr. Who to watch Avatar and Captain Jack was back.

You were intimate with vampires????

uh, no.

I personally never watched the show, but my mom and brothers did. Let's see, her middle name is Anne, so is mine (spelled the same). One of my BFF's growing up was Faith and a girl in town I knew that we all hated was named Willow. There are other things but I can't remember then off the top of my head. Mom said some of the later seasons there were a lot of things that were like my life, to the point we thought someone I grew up with was working on the show. It was truly scary.

BTW, I always thought it would be cool to be a vampire, especially since I am such a night owl. Maybe it's in my blood, pun intended....

Whew! I was afraid I'd have the tell the boys I've been wrong about vampires being imagination inspired.

That is pretty weird about the Faith & Willow thing in reverse. And the show got uber weird near the end, glad your life isn't like that now.

I love the looks I get too when DH calls me in a store or something. Yes people I am a product of the 70's!!!! No I was not soooo obsessed with the show that I changed my name. Besides, I'm ever so slightly older than Sarah Michelle Gellar.

I would think with your dark hair you would resemble Faith more than Buffy.

I remember I got some mail once from a Buffy (not you) and my boys went nuts thinking it was from the Vampire Slayer. They were so excited. :lmao:

i can't believe my little man and my big man missed this. they will be so ticked off. i'm not sure i can tell them.......;)
i have missed so much this week. we had a big 50th birthday party for my bil tonight and it's been a lot all week. i spent one whole day (12 hours) making chocolate 50's. OMG! i was so sick of the #50 by hour 10 that i thought i'd faint.
we just got home and i am beat. i told my sister when i left to tell the band to tell the people not to forget their chocolate on the way out. REALLY, i made them, i want people to take them.
all in all it was fun. 150 people. i think that says a lot for someone that there would be 150 people at your birthday party. i did feel a little bad at one point, when we were doing the cake, as he lost his mom and best friend within a month earlier in the year and i kinda think he was missing them at that point. the best friends wife was standing right by his side and they shed a few tears....:sad1:.
ok sorry to digress.......back to regular programing!
