AVATAR ISSUES- Please read here before posting

As of 10am Eastern on 2/2/ the issues with uploading avatars has been fixed. Let us no if you still can't load an avatar after that time

I have an Avatar but you can't see it. If you click on where I should have an Avatar, you can see it in my new little info box that pops up.

YAY!!! All I did was click on my Dis board name in the upper right side and click as if I were replacing my Avatar. But I didn't replace it and it now shows up. Thank you.

Hello! I've been trying to upload a 200x200 image that my computer tells me is 29kb. Whenever I try to upload it, it tells me theres an error because my file is too large and to choose one under 50kb. Any reason why this is happening? Is my computer lying to me about the size? Are only certain file types allowed?

What kind of file is it? I did a .png, and it worked pretty well. I'd try re-sizing it by just a tad, and see if that helps any.

I was using a .png. Let me try resizing it a bit or trying a different file type really quick.

edit: I changed it to a high quality jpg that told me the file size was 22kb & it worked!!

So my old avatar no longer works and I have tried to put on a new one but when I click "browse" so I can add a new one it will not open anything and nothing happens....not sure what to do

edit: I changed it to a high quality jpg that told me the file size was 22kb & it worked!!

At the moment, you need to upload your own file if you wish to have an avatar. One of the Webmasters posted that they may try to bring over the "standard" selection that was available previously. But it's not available right now. You can wait a bit, or change it to a custom file and change again later if you so choose.

That is what I am trying to do is add a custom avatar as that is what I had before, when I click browse, the screen does a "glitch" but nothing happens

AHA! I had to check the box to delete the old avatar then click browse and for some reason the entire look upload a new avatar box changed appearance and I was able to get my original avatar back, weird but I'm happy!

Mine is there but looks kind of squished and blurry. LOL Can this be fixed at all? Thx!


EDITED: I deleted my original avatar and chose a new one, thanks anyway. (even though I would love my old one back, but not squished or anything)

I'm still having issues with changing my avatar. I get everything put in, it says upload successful and then I just get the ? as if the link is missing...

DISboards is having issues with posting pictures (of any type). As in, not being about post any. I'm going to guess that's the problem everyone's having with avatars also.
