I'm currently looking at possible Port Adventures. I've found the listings for excursions in my cruise's ports of call, and wondering: will all the excursions listed for my itinerary be the actual adventures I can book for my specific sailing?

I think it is pretty close. I've never not found something that I was looking at on the website once I logged in (other than it was booked). I'd say there's always a chance that something isn't offered due to issues from the provider (or DCL).

Which week are you going on the Fantasy in October (we're going the last week)?

I agree with @Calantha that most of the offerings on the DCL Port Excursions list will be available. Some things are seasonal - like Christmas or Halloween offerings, and some things are seasonal based on the actual season. For instance, there may not be whale watching offered on a Mexican cruise if the whales are not migrating at that time.

Eh... On my last cruise (NYC to San Juan in October/November, 2022), only one of my three first choice excursions was offered. The excursion list on Disney's website had many excursions that weren't available at all three of our stops. But, maybe this is specific to where we went (Bermuda, Antigua, St. Maarten).

For the frequently-visited ports, the lists on the DCL website typically match what will be available on each cruise (with the exceptions dcassetta noted). For ports that DCL visits less frequently, such as Southern Caribbean and Europe, it's more likely that previous excursions may no longer be available. It doesn't hurt to come up with 2nd and 3rd choices before your booking window opens, just in case.

A few things can come into play with this. Some are seasonal, not many but some. The other thing is does the company that put on the excursion still offer it. For example they may offer it now but if your cruise is 9 months from now maybe it changes.

The other big thing that could come into play is availability. Booking is done by castaway level. Meaning people in higher castaway levels get first dibs. Now most things there is plenty of space but other things they may only take a very small number. Alaska for example at one of the glacier stops. The only excursion was a glacier viewing but it had very limited space. So likely a first timer on DCL or even silver likely will have issues booking it. --My understanding is when your booking window opens you won't even see it available.

Not always. On our first Med cruise, I had earmarked a couple but when it came time for booking, they weren't available. One was a hydrofoil over to Capri from Naples and at that time of year the waters are too choppy so it wasn't available. Sometimes they just aren't able to offer them because the vendor doesn't for some reason. They're usually pretty close and it's only been a couple of times that they haven't. There have also been some additions that happened after booking opens - that's been more frequent than the other way around in my experience.

For our August Europe cruise there are definitely port adventures listed that are not actually being offered. For three of our ports we had to go with our 2nd choice in each one because the first choice is not being offered. This was a similar complaint in our cruise group when Platinums logged in this week to book.

Right now due to tour companies having difficulty hiring, they may not all be available. Generally, most will be, barring Castaway booking level.

If it's a rare port and/or being offered on an unusual day of the week, things can get scant. For example, for our sailing this summer to France/Iceland/Norway for our stop in Cherbourg on a Sunday DCL is offering 4 out of the 14 excursions listed on the website. 3 of them are still available after Gold booking. But for more common itineraries that don't fluctuate much (like for ports like Nassau, Tortola, St. Thomas, etc.) I would say the list should be fairly representative.

check port adventures regularly even if your opening has passed. I would suggest going online when different groups having their booking activity date. For an upcoming Alaska cruise, gold booking date I saw different excursions being added in sitka and Ketchikan that were not there when concierge/platinum booked.

That happened to me on one of the Mexico cruises last year. Wanted Taste of Mexico for Ensenada. It wasn’t there at platinum opening day. Kept checking about once a week and it appeared.
