Availability of photographers?

I purchased Memory Maker for our trip and was wondering what the availability of photographers will be? I can see where they are located on the maps, but will they be at every location where characters are, including character dining? I'm hoping to just use my phone for photos and go camera free (eek!). Do you think this is realistic?

For all character locations outside of dining venues, photopass photographers will be available. These apply to only set characters however, and not to roaming ones like the stormtroopers outside of Launch Bay.

They are at MOST character meet and greets (Mary Poppins, for one doesn't have one and I know there are others). There are not wandering photographers at Character meals - some may have a photopass opportunity before you're seated, but I don't know what they are nowadays.

The photopass photographers are pretty easy to spot. Except for main street, they all wear the same thing throughout all parks so you don't have to worry about missing them.

I've only used my phone and Photopass photographers for my last few trips. Carrying the DSLR around all day just got to be too much.

Keep in mind that sometimes characters don't have a PhotoPass photographer with them. The CM will let you know. There was not one with Marry Poppins last week, or with Snow White. So, it can happen. The CM is happy to take photos for you with your phone.

There will never be one with Mary Poppins or Terk from Tarzan - you will always have ot have a CM do the photos for those characters.

There are a TON of them out - some even walk around and will move from place to place. If you see one just walking around, stop them and ask for a photo! They are happy to do so

When you take photos at some of the main spots (Main St. with castle, Epcot ball and bridge to WS, Tree of Life in AK, etc.) make sure to ask if they do magic shots. There are shots they can take where you hold out your hands or look a certain direction, and when you see the photo on the site at home Tink will be in your hands, Simba will be in your arms, Stitch will be coming out of the ground, or you will be holding balloons, etc. Many of them can do it, and some will direct you to another person(such as further up on Main St.) but they are some neat shots you can get so just ask. Also remember to take pics at night as well, like with the castle lit behind you. It's fun to take some together and some individual ones of each kid, or things like Dad and daughter walking toward the castle. If you are not aware, when you get home you can edit the photos and add borders that have to do with the season or character, or 1st Visit which would apply to you. You can make copies, so you have the original and the edited one, and can have as many as you want to get your money's worth before you download. Have a great 1st trip!

Don't expect much at the waterparks if you are going there. Maybe three or four photographers around. One in the large wave pools, one in the river and couple more about.
