I agree wholeheartedly. I just got back from a weeklong vacation @ WDW, and initially I was being a humbug about it saying to myself I was just going to hit the Magnolia course, downtown disney, etc. But on opening day I bought an autograph book on a whim and had no trouble getting autographs. I really love how the characters interact with you, you have to catch them at the right moment, but its worth it. The most memorable ones for me on this trip was:
1. Stitch in Tomorrowland, I was posing for a photo and he was trying to grab my Turkey Leg, I ended up playing tug-o-war over it laughing the whole time.
2. Mickey's NSSHP was also a favorite because I had the opportunity to interact with the bad guys & gals of the Disney realm. I went dressed as in safari clothes and told all the villians I was "the poacher that got away from the Animal Kingdom. When I was getting Jafar's autograph I informed him I was a hunter and volunteered to "hunt" Jasmine's pet tiger for a price, to which he responded very enthusiastically. Cruella De Vil wanted to put me on retainer to hunt baby seals in the Arctic. The Evil Queen from Snow White responded very haughtily to my compliments making some comment to the effect of "common mercenary trash". All in all a blast.
3. Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary was awesome, I have a photo I need to post of Mickey sitting at my table reading a section of the USA today with me...
