Do many adults on here get signatures from the characters. I would like to when Jen (my partner) and i go but i don't want to seem like a huge dork. Do you think that ppl will look at me strangely?

I'm 31 and always get autographs! I'm getting to the point I need to stop because I have too many autograph books :cool1: I wouldn't worry about any strange looks...the fun part about Disney is being able to be a kid no matter how old you are!

We stop constantly. I have pictures of my wife with several characters, and then we also have me with all the Star Wars characters from Star Wars Weekend.

There is nothing wrong with it. Everyone is there to see a 75 year old mouse. There are no adults at WDW, I think Walt planned it that way.

Have a GREAT trip.

If I can wear a yarmulke with ears, and I don't get second glances, you
should have no problems getting your autographs. :teeth:

I did do the autograph thing a few years ago, and the characters were all
very nice about it.

Oh, goodness! I am an adult and some of my trips are solo, and I get tons of autographs!! If I see a character I want, I don't hesitate a second to get in line with my autograph book ready! :teeth:

I find the only issue with being a solo adult visiting a character is that sometimes people will cut in front of me, right when it's my turn. I guess they think that since I don't have a kid, I must be just "standing there" for no reason, so they walk right around me and run upto the characters. I had this happen numerous times - fortunately usually a CM will politely stop the others and let me have my turn. Sometimes I will stand with my feet widely planted and my backpack hanging next to me on my side, so I am harder to pass! :)

You're at Disney and you love it, in my eyes that makes you a Dork already. That being said, I am King of the Dorks and that is fine with me. I found Grumpy last year walking about by the Snow White ride and I got his autograph and a picture with him. My wife had a great laugh and called me a Disney Dork. I loved that. I had to put the autograph in my daughters autograph book, she didn't mind ;) Don't for get, Bill Gates is a Dork/Geek and I'd rather be him than some GQ model (which I am far from being) :rotfl2:

I was a little leary getting autographs the first time, but did, and had no issues, what I did was also take pictures, some were with me, and some just the characters, and made a scrapbook. The picture and autograph on a page. That way it isn't just the autograph, and I am actually doing something with them, and I can never have too many.

My DW and I always get pictures and autographs from them it is like a tradition now for us even though we bring our 3 ids with us they love that mom and dad are just as crazy as they are for Micey LOL.

I love getting autographs! It's always one of the highlights of my trip. I don't feel dorky jumping in a line of 4 yr olds waiting for Cinderella. Every trip I always have a experience that is unique and fun with each charector. Captain Hook pretended to rob me and was pilfering thru my backpack, pulling my hair and stole my scruncie, and Jafar flat out refused to sign next to Alladin or Genie's autograph. He even held up the line and made a big villan fuss over it. They certainly don't mind me goofing around with them.

If it's for Chip 'n' Dale - Watch out kids! I will not yield! :earsgirl: But since I most likely already have autographs from all of the characters, I usually just do photos, which generally take less time.

However, my Pal Mickey (the talking tour guide mouse) has his own autograph book. Since I don't have kids, on rare occasions my Pal Mickey will be in line for character autographs. Many of the characters (as well as kids in line) are amused. :teeth:

I agree wholeheartedly. I just got back from a weeklong vacation @ WDW, and initially I was being a humbug about it saying to myself I was just going to hit the Magnolia course, downtown disney, etc. But on opening day I bought an autograph book on a whim and had no trouble getting autographs. I really love how the characters interact with you, you have to catch them at the right moment, but its worth it. The most memorable ones for me on this trip was:
1. Stitch in Tomorrowland, I was posing for a photo and he was trying to grab my Turkey Leg, I ended up playing tug-o-war over it laughing the whole time.
2. Mickey's NSSHP was also a favorite because I had the opportunity to interact with the bad guys & gals of the Disney realm. I went dressed as in safari clothes and told all the villians I was "the poacher that got away from the Animal Kingdom. When I was getting Jafar's autograph I informed him I was a hunter and volunteered to "hunt" Jasmine's pet tiger for a price, to which he responded very enthusiastically. Cruella De Vil wanted to put me on retainer to hunt baby seals in the Arctic. The Evil Queen from Snow White responded very haughtily to my compliments making some comment to the effect of "common mercenary trash". All in all a blast.
3. Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary was awesome, I have a photo I need to post of Mickey sitting at my table reading a section of the USA today with me...

Me too! Me too!  I love getting autographs! I turned 30 this year and thought that maybe I shouldn't......then I thought screw it! I enjoy it, therefore I am going to keep getting them. I jokingly call my husband my official photographer while we are there. He finally did get in a pic with Mickey the last time we were there, it's my favorite pic! Now, if we could find Grumpy, then I think he would get his pic taken alone with him! This will be our last trip before we start taking our daughter (she's 2). It is going to be our "alone" time after having a long and stressfull 2 years. I just hope my DD doesn't mind her mommy getting autographs with her when she gets to go!!! :rotfl2: So, go out there and get those autographs, you'll love the memories you have doing so! :earboy2:
