autographs

[2d_star_to_the_right]

We have done the autograph books and I was thinking about doing something different this year. It would be nice to do something that could be framed in like an 8X11 format or some other way. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I actually read about this idea on one of these boards.

I bought my kids each a long-sleeved white shirt (at Wal-Mart) and a package of fabric markers. We got the whole thing signed (front, back, both sleeves). And many people asked where to get a shirt, liking the idea (my daughter got to wear it to school for show-and-tell).

The mom who originally wrote about it said that when her dd's outgrew the shirts, she made a toss pillow for their beds out of them.

We used a baseball hat last trip and it works really well. My 2 dd's chose a light tan color and we used a black sharpie. They wore the hat the entire trip keeping sun off the head and making it easy to get autographs. All I had to do was carry the sharpie!

how about postcards autographed then framed in a collage? I wished I had brought some.

I second the hat idea....saves space carrying the autograph book and everyone should wear a hat. Bring BIG Sharpies!

We use the Disney autograph books but I take a digital picture of the DDs and character. When I get home, I print them out small on plain paper and glue them across from the signature. We also get pics and autographs of CMs to put in. One of my favorites are of a CM at the American Adventure who spent about 30 minutes with the girls explaining to the the importance of the American flag and we took a picture of her with the girls in front of a flag from 9-11. She wrote a really nice note that took up the whole page. Whenever the girls see CMs that they've gotten their autographs from, they make sure they show them the pic!!
