Autographs

Just saw the colorful signature plate on Pinterest. I like the all black better. It looks classier.

will they do this on the shorter cruises? A four night cruise?

What size photo matte did you have signed? That seems like the best idea for us!

clarification if possible ... has anyone ever asked to have a special message written on the plate along with the signatures ...

For example:

To _____ aka “______ ”

We loved seeing you on this magical trip!!! Glad we were able to make it happen!

LOVE,
Tink and your magical friends

Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Cinderella, Anna, Elsa, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy, Donald

I know that lots of people put sweet/chocolate treats in with their items to have signed. Would it be weird to send in snack-sized bags of something like Cheez-its or another salty snack?

Love the plate idea, can't wait to get ours signed on our cruise in August. We got our plate at WDW, I think they sell them at DTD as well, so if you are heading to WDW prior to cruise you may be able to pick one up! Only difference with our plate is that it has a blue trim on outer edge of plate and our Mickey is blue.

We had my oldest son's homeschool high school graduation on our recent WBPC cruise. I knew I wanted him to have a photo mat signed but debated whether or not to send it with the Guest Services folks for the characters. What we ended up doing was just letting my son handle it. I gave him the mat and told him if he wanted characters he can take it to GS and tell them which. He did let GS have the mat for a day to get Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, & Pluto only. Then he took it all around the ship with him sorta like a scavenger hunt of sorts on the last day or so of the cruise gathering signatures. It was cool because every signature he got he also took a selfie with that person. He got our stateroom host, servers, the captain, officer over hotels, night club host, cruise director, our stateroom neighbors, and lots of friends. His mat is so full of memories from his graduation cruise. It couldn't be more perfect. Just thought that it was a different perspective for souvenir signatures. :D

You can drop items at Guest Services on all cruises for signatures. There is a 2 items per stateroom limit.

there may be a recent change in policy on the wonder. last week a friend went on the three-day Mexican cruise out of San Diego and reported she was unable to get her two items autographed. guest services told her anything less than 1 wk is too short to get things signed and returned.

don't know about other ships.

Has anyone done this recently on the Dream and had success?

We're doing our first Disney cruise next week :donald::donald: and would love to get some stuff autographed. I've got my items but I have a very silly question - how exactly do you leave them with Guest Services? Can I just leave them in a plastic bag for example, or does it need to close?

I left a few small packs of fruit snacks with ours, because I forgot to buy candy and that's what I had in my personal snack stash. They didn't come back with our signed items, so I guess they enjoyed them. :)

We just got off the Dream a week ago (4 night cruise). We dropped off two items (photo mat and a plate) the morning of Day 2. The signed items were delivered to our stateroom the afternoon of Day 3. I was surprised they came back so soon. This was a sold out cruise.

I hope they still do this on shorter cruises! We're going on the Wonder for 4 nights and I'm planning on bringing a couple things to have signed. We're not going until March 2016. We've done a 3-night and had pillowcases signed, but that was several years ago.

I think you need a bag that closes. That way your markers that you want them to use are kept with the item along with the slip they have you fill out for the autographs.
