Autographs every time?

I'm working on my first WDW scrapbook, and when we went in August I had the characters sign tags that I've incorporated into the book. Thinking ahead to next year's trip and its corresponding scrapbook, I am wondering about the autographs.

Do you get the same character autographs every time and use them in your books? We didn't meet any of the Pooh characters or most of the princesses this last trip, so I was thinking I'd get those but skip the ones I already have. (The kids, of course, can get what they want, those aren't for the scrapbook.)

What do you all do?

I have dedicated autograph books so we only do autographs once. If I need one for an album I just make a copy. We do have pics taken with our favorite characters over and over though.

1st trip, no autographs, pre-scrapbooking
2nd & 3rd trips, DD used the blue autograph books so I don't have autographs in the albums

4th trip, I brought pre-made 8x8 pages for the characters to sign (around 50 per kid), and some extra tags for the pages I had not yet made

5th trip, we brought undecorated tags with us and some Mickey license plates from the Mickey Font cricut cart -- DD wants to make her own pages this time, but I am sure I have duplicates of most of the characters we met so I should autographs in my album too. Haven't started yet. I hope to get started in January.

I think I may go back to the books for the next trip.

We meet the characters every trip, often more than once and since DD loves to get autographs, I let her get them over and over again. Soon she'll grow out of it.

We did the autograph books once when our daughters were young and then again this year, when we took our grandson last month. I placed his autographs on pages where his pix with the character were placed. He is 9 and worked with me getting some of the pages completed. It was so nice to relive many of the special moments with him as we had fun creating his pages.
Although, we always seem to take pix with characters, IMHO the thrill of getting an autograph loses its excitement after the initial first encounter.

sometimes we don't get autographs, but always get photos. been debating whether or not for Jan WDW trip, I guess I'd better decide soon, we leave in 47 days!
