For printing out any of these designs (for use as door signs or for autograph pages,) I've found that matte photo paper seems to work well. The kind I use is 45 pound paper (canon.) The designs look really great on it. It's less expensive than glossy, but gives great resolution and is fairly thick. A box of 50 sheets is $9.95 at our local Office Depot.
I wasn't even thinking to use PowerPoint until I read your post. That will make my life much easier. I can create a pp presentation for the autograph books, make sure everything is aligned properly and then just print of as many copies as I need.
