Autograph page designs- all pages restored 8/7/10

For printing out any of these designs (for use as door signs or for autograph pages,) I've found that matte photo paper seems to work well. The kind I use is 45 pound paper (canon.) The designs look really great on it. It's less expensive than glossy, but gives great resolution and is fairly thick. A box of 50 sheets is $9.95 at our local Office Depot.

Hi There - Thanks for the info. Are you using the 4 x 6 photo paper? If so, how do you leave the border for the binding? :confused3

Thanks!

I use 8.5 x 11 and then cut the size I need using a scrapbooking cutter (12 inch cutter.) If necessary, I resize images in power point first -- my autograph book pages are 6 x 6 and when I copied them from this site, their original size was 5 x 5, so I had to make them bigger. ALso, by using power point, you can put more than one picture per page (if you're doing the 4 x 6 size) and that saves paper and money. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips. :) I wasn't even thinking to use PowerPoint until I read your post. That will make my life much easier. I can create a pp presentation for the autograph books, make sure everything is aligned properly and then just print of as many copies as I need. :woohoo:

Thanks so much!

You're welcome:goodvibes ! I do a lot of scrapbooking and I like to resize and crop my photos -- using power point is the best way I know of doing that (using the brain-capacity and computer-capacity I currently have:) ) Have fun making those autograph books!

Heather - I have just stumbled across this thread, your work is great and I'm glad you are feeling better.

I know someone mentioned Lilo, Stitch, Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Snow White. I didn't see any of these characters. Would you be able to do some pages for these characters?

I'm getting married in March at Disney and I'm creating autograph books for the kids that are coming.

Thanks for the great work and help!!

All of these pages are simply wonderful!

I haven't printed any out yet, but will be doing so soon for my January trip. I'm hoping that the pages I make myself for some of the other characters will be even half as good as these!

Does anyone know where Heather got the backgrounds and borders? I have a trip coming up in 30 days and I would like to attempt to make a few more.

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm finally feeling better. I have been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of weeks, but I think (fingers crossed) that it's behind me..The medication I've been on has made it very difficult for me to concentrate on anything for more than about 2 seconds..can you say flighty??? But it appears they finally have everything balanced so I'm good. Also, my MIL has had a series of strokes and we've been trying to help her and FIL as much as possible. I will have more designs posted tomorrow (PROMISE) and more are in the works..DD just downloaded the software onto her computer so we can both work on different ones.

I get the borders in PhotoImpact and the backgrounds and characters I get from various Disney clipart sites online.

I print mine out on regular cardstock I pick up at the craft store. I hadn't thoght about using photo paper, but that's areally good idea. I also LOVE the Power Point idea. Never thought of that. I just use Photo Impact to print them.

I'll be working extra hard to try to get as many of these done as I can...our trip is coming up fast. At least I didn't have to cancel it...almost did though.

So glad you are doing better. I was worried about you. I finished up quite a few of the cards also, but was waiting for you to feel better and post as you do such a great job with them. I also was in the hospital, so I had lots of free time to read about the new photoshop program I bought. I had fun making a lot of the cards and figured even if we ended up making the same ones, that would be ok. My meds kept me up half the nights so I would get on a designing kick for 6 hours and then sleep for 12. LOL I just spent the night searching for gifs for the Country Bears and think I now have them all. Dom13 posted a gif for Bert from Mary Poppins, but I still haven't found one for the penguins. :lmao:
I am hoping you were able to do the power rangers as I have no idea what the difference between them is (except for their color?). Again, I am glad you are feeling better. You have been missed.
Penny :hippie:

Heather, SOOO glad to hear that you are feeling better!!!!

My trip has been postponed until Jan (it seems as though hunting season does not end until Jan. 1 and DH wants to take full advantage) , so now I have more time to put my books together. :rotfl:
Can't wait to see what you and your daughter come up with!

Again, glad that you are better - that is what's most important!!:)

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better. Look forward to seeing what else you have some up with, but make sure you take time for yourself first.

Hi Everyone!

Once again I'm leaning on the experts here! :goodvibes

I know I've read the folks here have had their autograph books bound by one office supply store or another. Does anyone know if they can trim or cut down the pages as well? :confused3

If I create a power point document with two 4x6 frames on each page would they cut those pages in half, trim them and then bind them?

I've never used this service before - not sure if they would even be willing to do all that work. :rolleyes1

Thanks!

I know Kinkos will cut things. I think there is a set price for each cut no matter how many pages are stacked together. I'm not sure Kinko's has the best prices for binding. Don't know if other office stores cut or not.

Heather,

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Can't wait to see the new designs. Looks like we'll be going toward the latter part of Janaury, so I have time to print the rest of the cards.

Carmen

PS - I have been printing them of 4x6 cards, made by Avery. I just place them in the photo tray of my printer, and they print perfectly. I have resized them a bit, so as to leave space for binding on the left, but it has been very easy. Once I have printed them all, I'll take it to Kinko's for binding. I can't wait!

Hi, me again, the one with all the questions.

How much of a border do I need on the left side of the page for the coil binding? I wasn't sure if I needed a 1/2" or 1/4" or ???? :confused3

I've put all my pages into a PowerPoint documentation. Now I just need to start printing the copies and then doing the trimming to get them ready for the binding.

I still have eons to go before our trip :rolleyes1 so I'm going to keep watching the two autograph page threads for any new characters that show up. :)

Someone was looking for this thread so I thought I would bump it to the top again. :goodvibes Penny

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this thread. Thanks for all of the GREAT PAGES!!!!!!!!!!

Can I ask what type of paper you all print them on??????????????
