I went to Walmart yesterday and couldn't find the foam books. I was in the scrapbooking section. Are they in another area?
I am looking for books as well. If you find the Creative Disign forum there are lots of character pages you can print out. I am leaning towards printing my own pages and putting them in a scrapbook or having bound at Kinkos. Here are some I have bookmarked:

Also, here is a thread where someone was kind enough to make custom covers for my kids:

You can also go to the Disney Character Warehouse. If you get last year's version, you can save quite a bit. I think I paid $3 for one a couple of years ago.
The pages on the photobucket link you have are the types of pages we make. We put them on one side of the book and then the picture of my daughters w/the characters on the other side. The characters LOVE the books and always make a big deal about their pages..
Okay, so I'm a bit confused. Do you just have the characters sign one side of the page. Then when you come home you put up the picts of your DD and the characters on the opposite page?
Sorry for the confusion! I am going to post a few pictures so you get an idea of what I am talking about. We have the characters sign on the cardstock pages that we make. It very easy to go online and cut and paste clipart of the characters. Then, we add the picture on the opposite side of the page once we are home. We enjoy making the books vs. buying them there, because they are unique and it's a fun thing to do when getting ready for the trip!

OMG! That is just so stickin' cute!!!! I love it! Did you just google disney picts or something for the character pages?
In the end I bought the $2.50 plastic photo albums. I am going to print out the autograph cards on photo paper via Costco. I will have the characters sign on it with the sharpie and then put a picture on the other side. The photo paper seems the most cost effective because my printer eats so much ink and I would have to buy whole new cartridges to print cards from home. I can get the sheets printed at Costco for around .15 each. Since the photo paper is thin I plan to bring a small clip board to make it easier for the characters to sign. Hopefully I'm not making a bad decision!
