I want to add that I bought a pack of retractable Sharpies for the characters to sign. I figured that would be a little easier for them.

Those work great, but make sure to leave the green one at home. For some reason, if the green happens to get on their gloves/fur/paw, it is impossible for the color to come completely out I guess. I have been told that many times. I don't know how true it is, but to play it safe I would leave the green out. You wouldn't want to be responsible for staining Mickey's gloves with your pen!

We have been very happy with them because they are small and easy to carry around. The paper to sign on has a very faint design on it that matches the cover. This next trip, I am going to make my own using the same type of design. I have uploaded pictures of the kids with characters from previous trips and made them very faint with a card making program. The cover will be personalized with their name and picture and printed on cardstock. I will then take the pages and covers to copying/shipping store and have them spiral bind the books.
