:goodvibes I remember the 6 month countdown :goodvibes

It's gone by pretty fast though. We are now down to weeks rather than months, 5 weeks to go :cool1:

Is anyone going to or been to a baseball game while in the states? We are in the process of booking tickets to a game while we are in Anaheim but have no idea which seats are the best! Can anyone help? I want to book today.

Is the baseball even on while you are there at the end of Sept???? I had a feeling that most of the major sports were finished at that time of year, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the advice on the Baseball we are going to watch a game as well in Sept !!

I ahve a question about the ETSA process can anyone you ahs doen it help. So I went to the website and completed the form for the four of us and got the application approved immediately at the end . Is that all there is ? I thought it would take some time ? Also we are staying in several addresses whilst there but there is room for only one so I put down our first address , is that correct - also I thought it weird it didnt ask for any travel dates ?

Did I miss something ?

DH and the boys are going to a pre-season Football game while we are in NY. They are excited I think it sounds as exciting as paint drying so I'm spending my time doing girlie things.

ESTA (U.S. Travel Authorization) is not a visa. It is a pre-authorization to board a U.S.-bound ship or airplane.
The purpose of ESTA is to let the U.S. government pre-screen all Visa Waiver Travelers before they leave their respective countries.
Only citizens of one the 35 Visa Waiver Countries who are entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program should apply.
It is recommended to apply for ESTA at least 72 hours prior to departure.
If your ESTA Application is denied, you will be required to apply for a B-1 Visitor Visa or B-2 Tourist Visa.
An approved ESTA Travel Authorization does not guarantee entry in to the United States.

Why should I apply for ESTA? Who needs to apply for ESTA?

Starting on January 12, 2009 citizens from Visa Waiver countries must apply for ESTA (U.S. Travel Authorization) in order to be eligible for admittance into the United States.
The ESTA Travel Authorization is valid for up to two years and can easily be updated for future visits.
You should not rely on travel agents or on airline booking websites to submit the application in your behalf. You should submit your own application.

Any person who intends to visit the United States under the Visa Waiver Program and is entering the U.S. by air or sea.
Any person transiting through the United States under the Visa Waiver Program.
Children and infants who are visiting or transiting under the Visa Waiver Program are also required to have an approved ESTA application.

Hope this helps

hey butterfly, I think we are going to the same baseball game. yankees v angels. Also had questions regarding which seats are best. They can be super cheap at the top and super expensive near the front. Someone did recommend you don't go up the wings so to speak that is too far from the actual play.

The angels website gives you an actual webcam type view of each seat and you can book it straight from there, stubhub is also good, but tickets tend to be dearer. saying all this, I still haven't booked !!

Just thought I would pop in and say hi. I haven't been on the boards much for the past few weeks due to moving house.
Our trip is getting closer  Had a look this morning and we have 69 days until we fly to Canada so we will be back at DLR in 94 days:)
Just waiting for ToT tickets to go on sale and I will have everything organised.

Hey Platypus67, that's so exciting, not long to go now for many of us. Can you make sure to post in this thread when the Halloween party tickets are available to the general public. I think I've decided we should go, although I'm not convinced it is good value for money, I guess it will be a new experience.

Also, just wanted to check, do we make PS reservations 60 days prior to going?

Keptwoman, are you able to share more info about the preseason football game? We are in New York from 7-12 Oct and I would love to organise something for my DH and DS

The tickets for Mickey's Halloween party go on sale August 1 here but it doesn't say what time. I'm hoping it's midnight Anaheim time, which would be a civilised 5pm here... It's pretty pricey, but it looks like so much fun :goodvibes

Yes, PS reservations can be done 60 days out.

Thanks Mel, I appreciate the info. The party does look fun, you are right, now just to think of costumes for the kids that won't take up much room in the cases.
