After a full morning in Fantasyland (apparently, she had to ride the PURPLE Dumbo, and she ADORED the ride.) She wasn't picky about what carousel animal she rode - it was her first Merry-go-round, and she didn't really seem to care for it - go figure! Peter Pan was scary, the Pixies were great...but how would she do with "non-face" characters? It was off to the Crystal Palace to find out!
Well, LP isn't afraid of fully suited furballs...quite the opposite! She gets so excited when she gets to meet them! FB missed a pic of her kissing Piglet full on the snout when he came around a second time. (And he will probably kick himself for it until the dawn of time....)
When Eeyore came by, LP got sad and commiserated with him....with Tigger, she bounced, and she LOVED Pooh.
FB surprised me - he raved about Crystal Palace, and I had expected him to be completely unimpressed, so I asked - how was the food? Answer: ok, normal buffett food....
Auntie Spratt: Was it pretty?
FB: Yeah, I guess - the building was ok, but MAN, did LP LOVE IT!
Guess who has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger?
FB also made it clear that the first lunch seating was the way to go - the buffet is fresh, and it sounded like it got very crowded and very "over-the-top" very quickly - it wasn't really clear why it was so much better...but he repeated "Get the first lunch seating at Crystal Palace you can!" (I think he is secretly enjoying that I'm doing this TR, because he certainly has things he has saved up in his head to share with you!)
After Lunch, they headed back to the Contemporary for a 3 hour power nap. The whole family. Totally wiped.
FB did want me to make it clear to everyone reading: Contemporary Atrium Rocks. Lagoon View is "better" than a MK view because "you really feel like you are on vacation, you see Wishes from the lounge, Illuminations from your room, movies from the balcony AND YOU AREN'T LOOKING AT A PARKING LOT." He also said the snacky snacks are tasty - flatbreads, lamb meatballs, other things I can't remember (sorry.)
He also made it very clear that besides one or two minor meltdowns, the behaviour of both the children AND the adults has been lovely. (As he put it - this isn't Six Flags.

)
FB hadn't "drunk the Kool-aide" on the Mouse until now, and he REALLY seems to be enjoying himself, primarily because LP is having so much fun, IMO.
So now they are back up and dressed and heading back to Fantasyland...hoping to see Philharmagic, and then dinner at Tony's at 8pm, Spectro and then.....they don't know. It seems LP is really REALLY scared of the noise from fireworks, so I don't think they will try to see Wishes - not sure how that will play out. He is taking the big camera tonight to get me a pic of the statue in Tony's.
Now for the bad news (but responsible parenting

) FB didn't bring a computer to upload the big bad a** camera - he, rightly so, wants to pay attention to his daughter instead. So no Tinkerbelle pics, etc until this weekend at the earliest.

This may work in our favor, however, as he will be taking pics with his iphone tomorrow and not taking the big camera out with them, so there is a MUCH better chance they will be sent throughout the day...but maybe not, as it is just the two of them tomorrow.
Tuesday's game plan depends upon something I'm trying to arrange for LP, so, once again, you'll find out when she does!
As always, thanks for reading! I hope that you are enjoying my living vicariously through my beloved family.
Just got this text from FB: "She ran down the ramp off the monorail to go back to the kingdom. We have a fan!!!"
