Morning!

What am I doing up so bright and early on a Sunday? Going fishing? Nope. Getting ready for church? Nope. Going to the farmer's market? Maybe....but what I'm really waiting for is it to be late enough to call my niece and ask her if she is excited about going to meet Tinkerbell!

wr-2.jpg

This is the Littlest Princess. I made this for Halloween last year - she was a Pumpkin Fairy. That is Savannah (AKA Pootie) in the background.

So my DSIL, Snow White:love:, has to be in Orlando on business all next week; my DB, Ferris Bueller:cool2:, OF COURSE could get the time (he isn't called Ferris for nothing ;) to go with her, and this trip was born. The first week in June. They called and invited me to join them, as I've recently been bitten by the Disney bug, but I haven't been at my job long enough, so no trip for me. :headache:

My brother explained to LP that they were taking her to meet Tink, and SHE GOT IT. Totally. As in wearing her green wings from the Pumpkin costume as often as possible. (Preferably with not much else, but this IS a family site!:rotfl:)

So the Bueller Family leaves today, and they are in for one AMAZING trip!

So, I'll be reporting LIVE about a trip I'm not on - but Ferris is a professional photographer, so I'm sure there will be plenty of photos!

Here is a sample of Ferris' work:

That's me and my Darling Dearest Husband shortly after becoming man and wife!

How exciting! Such a bummer you couldn't go... but you can help us live vicariously through them! Hoping your brother sends you lots of photos!

Hi, Laura!

I'm so excited you took the time to respond - thank you!

I'm SURE there will be a TON of pics - just not yet.:headache:

Mrs. Spratt

Well, they are on the plane, and it seems that most of the passengers are on their way to the world, so it should be a happy flight.

Holly, a very nice CM at the CR Atrium Club called to say everything was ready in the room, waiting per my OCD faxed instructions. I have to give a HUGE thank you to the people that have written about the importance of FAXING things to the world when you really want to get something done.

So what is it that has turned me into Martha Stewart (without the jail time) these past few days?

Not gonna' tell ya until LP has seen it....Sorry!:rolleyes1

I DO have photos of what was sent, but I'm HOPING for photos of what it looks like in the room...because everything is waiting in there before they arrive. Snow White (should I call her Sloane?) knows some of what is coming, in case there were problems with getting what I sent - now I am KICKING MYSELF that I "ruined" the surprise for her because everything is being handled so beautifully. (Must send a shout out to a DIS board Goddess, Surprise Queen, Jacyns who is TOPS at making magical memories for her family!:worship:)

Two Club Managers took the time to place some items in the room personally. WOW. (I really really hope it looks cute!) Every time I have requested a phone call from the Atrium Club to confirm receipt of something, it has been made cheerfully and promptly, particularly by Holly and Sharon who are showing the magic is alive and well, at least via phone...

Oh, and I heard it isn't as hot this week as it was last week.....:cool1:

Does anyone know how to edit the title of a thread? I can't figure it out - sorry!

Snow White/Sloan and the Littlest Princess at the Spratt nuptials. LP is about 18 months in the photo, and Sloane was a Bridesmatron. LP was my flower girl.

And no, I didn't use Disney Florist, although their customer service was FANTASTIC - they just didn't offer what I wanted.

Off to half off at an Estate Sale!

Mrs. Spratt

PS - anyone want to know Dining Plans?:goodvibes

Ah...Going to "Advanced" means you get to do more stuff!

Please pardon my computer illiteracy..

Well, the estate sale was good at one thing: keeping me busy while I wait for them to get there! I am as impatient as Pootie waiting for her supper, and that is saying something, as she is a beagle. ;)

Right now, they should be arriving at MCO, then they have to get the rental car, then drive to WDW, then check-in!

I may have to scrub the kitchen floor to keep my mind off of things!

Thanks for reading!

Mrs. Spratt

to find this waiting for them.

Among other things, including this, which was waiting in the crib. (Sorry, this shot is from home....)

Must dash off with Mr. Spratt - more info and details about their journey later on!

And lurkers, THANK YOU for reading. :flower3:

The Bueller family had an uneventful flight on Southwest - an easy 2.5 hours, many kids - everyone was off to the world and in a good mood.

LP was super excited because she was getting to fly WITH SW/S, as opposed to hearing "Momma took an airplane to work and will be back on Friday." (FB is a stay at home Dad who works out of his Man-Cave all week and still manages to answer to LP's slightest whimper. They all LOVE each other - and SW/S has to travel fairly regularly for her job, so it is a special event when LP and FB go WITH SN/S instead of saying goodbye at the airport.)

Here is a more recent photo pf LP...she is growing up so fast!
wr_10.jpg

She will be three at the end of October.

So after a safe journey, they traveled to the Hertz location (not actually AT the airport :confused3) and picked up their rental so SW/S can make her meetings Tuesday-Thursday and the Buellers' were on their way to the world!

Signage to the Contemporary was easy to follow, they pulled up to valet, a bellman was found, and they were on their way to the Atrium Club.

Let the Pixie Dust begin!

THey arrived at the 12th floor, Holly (with whom I'd spoken earlier) checked them in, and they walked in to this:

Auntie Spratt decided the wings needed some more bling, to cover up thread knots from the sewn on paillettes

DSC01970.jpg

which will give it extra sparkle from the front. I made the hair garland,(thanks, dollar tree!) got the wings from Disney, and got the costume from a local boutique. (I didn't have time to sew her costumes for this trip. :headache:) It was the second store I'd been to (I try to shop local boutiques - no Walmart!) and it was hidden at the top of a column in the boys section of the store - the only one of it's style left, the perfect size, the perfect dress, yes! LP's favorite colour is lavender, so I especially love the lame overlays in lavender. You would think it would be on sale (being the last one, etc..) but I think the desperation showed in my eyes to the manager, and I paid full price. I didn't even ask for a discount as it was just too perfect!

When they walked in their room, LP cried out, "My WINGS!" but then her eye was drawn to something waiting for her in her crib, "My BABY!"

Disney did an EXCELLENT JOB of presentation - my brother commented on how well everything was done, and that doesn't come lightly from a perfectionist artist.

1stsurprise.jpg

You can see they took the time to fluff out the skirt, and made sure it looked pretty - there was also a welcome card signed by Minnie, as well as a most excellent towel creation.

Her BABY! She was waiting in LP's crib, with a glowing Tink attached. (Mr. Spratt assures me she has wings...she came in the day the box was sent out. DH happened to be at home when she was delivered because there was a neighborhood power outage, and we don't leave our furbabies by themselves in 100+ heat! He opened the package, took photos for me, and, once the power came back, he then dropped it off at my BBF's house as he was "constructing" the box to ship all of the Pixie Dust. (When was the last time YOU tried to ship wings? Oy.... but BFF made a masterpiece. That is what he does.)

Mr. Spratt & Lulu & Coco - sounds like we are running a puppy brothel, I know!

SW/S and FB called - I got my first five word sentence from LP, "Thank you for my BABY!" and hearing all of their excitement makes it all worth it - but there is SO MUCH MORE TO COME! (SW/S knows, but FB is clueless. I LOVE pulling this over on him - and I think he is really touched. He asked if I made the costume - I told him no, and he still said well, Halloween is taken care of! I just hope it fits....

They are scheduled to be at the Wave as I type, then tomorrow, LP MEETS TINK! And has lunch at Crystal Palace! And dinner at Tony's!

Thanks for sharing my excitement - this trip is a dream come true for me, and, as I've told Mr. Spratt - "I've got a flame-thrower filled with Pixie Dust and I'm not afraid to use it!"

Mrs. Spratt

And to everyone reading, THANK YOU! I've never done anything like this (blogging, etc.) and I appreciate that you are taking the time to read - I hope you are enjoying it!

Mrs. Spratt

I'm loving it! Looking forward to more updates!

Thanks, Laura! :flower3: My biggest fear is that this will be boring to everyone else - it feels so self indulgent to write about this, especially as I haven't been to WDW since I was 3, and DL since I was 25 or 26!

I have to figure out how to multi-quote - never thought I'd be saying that! :goodvibes

Really Really enjoying the live updates and what a beautiful suprise you left for them!! Can't wait to hear more about their live adventures!!!

I love to play dress up. No, really. Always have. Always will.

I collect hats, tiaras, vintage dresses, gloves, fans, antique silk flowers - I found my wedding dress at an estate sale - bias cut lace from the 30's, fits like a glove, $2.50.

Yep, you read that right. My dream dress for 2.50.

Anywho, any excuse to dress up, I'm there.

This was taken the first time Charlie came home to meet my parents "officially." It was during Mardi Gras in Baton Rouge, where Mr. & Mrs. Bueller, Sr. live. I told Charlie that if he didn't show up in costume, he would feel like an idiot walking down the street with me and my family, so I started thinking - we wanted to look 'right' together, but didn't need to match, so that year he was a Handsome Devil.

IMG_0020.jpg

Zorro standing with us is actually Mr. Bueller, Sr - my Daddy! (And MAN, does he get BEADS in that costume!) I made my costume, including the hat.)

Here we are, after a cold rainy day of parade viewing...I believe a few adult beverages may have been consumed at this point....:rolleyes1
IMG_0702.jpg

Momma and DH made it on the news that night! A very good sign for DH and my future - but I didn't realize I was creating a costume monster! :yay:

He LOVES playing dress up, too! (Ok, so it isn't his favorite thing in the world, but he is very indulgent and lets me put him in all sorts of stuff for all sorts of events, and he actually pays attention to what I am doing during design and construction, and offers opinions, but only when asked - he gets involved and has fun with it, even if it involves eyeliner - I am a very lucky girl.)

I made my dress and wings, and my BFF made DH's hat and jacket. (We actually borrowed the entire outfit from BFF's closet - he is a wonderfully avantgarde costume designer as well as painter, and loves dress up too, and we are VERY lucky to have him as a resource for all sorts of things.)

BFF right after the wedding - he was my honor attendant, but he is very good friends with DH as well.

One more, just because...and yes, I changed in the bathroom at the museum to get the photo!

So when I heard about LP going to the world, visions of wings started dancing through my head, but I had to get their trip planned, first!

So after meeting her new baby, it was decided that the Bueller's needed to COOL OFF. Sure, they live in Texas, so they are used to the heat, but a swim is always a good way to "rinse off" the stresses of travel.

(Please remember, although this is live, I'm NOT on the trip, and the Bueller's don't DIS, so please don't expect food porn or some of the pictures a good DISer would automatically take...sorry. I also don't want to text them every five minutes with "what are you doing now?" so I will share all of the information I get - sorry if it isn't enough! I know they will take a ton of pics, though, so please don't be disheartened! Thanks! :flower3:)

After getting cleaned up after swimming, they headed down to the Wave for their 7.30 ressie. After waiting 15 minutes, they were seated. SW/S had the chicken pot pie, and her comment was "tender chicken and veggies but way too salty. FB had two apps - the lettuce wraps and seared tuna. "Ok but not stellar - he could tell the tuna was pre-prepped." (opinion offered through SW/S beacuse FB was off with LP...more on that in a bit.:rolleyes1)
LP had one of the 3 kids plate choices - pasta, veggies, dessert. She was a hungwy girl and cleaned her plate. When the warm food hit her belly, though, it was time to leave the restaurant - so the waiter offered them her dessert to go OR to remove it from the bill. They elected to just go up to their roomwithout the dessert.

The Buellers don't have a MK view, which FB actually prefers - he likes looking at the lagoon as opposed to the parking lot:rolleyes: AND they could see ILLUMINATIONS from their ROOM! LP loved the fireworks from far away, so FB took her to the Atrium Lounge to watch Wishes...and they scared her.

I think it is because they were so close up height wise to the explosions- I don't think it was the noise, because they were inside. I "reminded" them to bring earplugs for Wishes/Illuminations IN the park (another great tip picked up from the boards ;) ) but I don't think she should have needed them for watching form the lounge....she loved Illuminations, though, so I think she might have a different take on Wishes when she sees it from another location. (ie the fireworks not right in front of her!)

The last text I got, SW/S was settling in and FB and LP were on the balcony watching the Electric Water Parade.

They have a full day ahead of them - LP's first trip to the Magic Kingdom! Lunch at Crystal Palace and dinner at Tony's. There are fairies to meet and bears to hug and a MOUSE to kiss! I cna't wait to hear all about it.

OH! One other thing - SW/S texted me saying Club was already SO worth it, and they had only been there for 5 hours. I'll try to get more "why" from her - I'm dying to know, aren't you?

As always, thanks for reading, and I'm SO not done with the flame thrower full of Pixie Dust - but you'll have to hear about that when you hear about that! And you know the rules...you can' tknow until LP does.

Have a Great Day!

Mrs. Spratt

They have ridden Pooh, she is on Cinderella's Carousel with FB while Saint SIL is in line at Dumbo...then off to Pixie Hollow!

After Pixie Hollow, the next "scheduled" item is lunch at Crystal Palace. I should have some photos after Pixie Hollow - and I need to fill you in on Rope Drop!

The Bueller clan woke up around 7 am. One of the reasons I really encouraged them to stay at the Atrium Club is because they live and die by their coffee, (I swear, their coffee maker does everything but grow the beans and drink the coffee for you!) and even though I DON’T drink coffee, I know FB (DB) well enough to know he would be miserable the whole trip without his morning java. Disney Brown water wouldn’t cut it, but the Atrium Coffee sure did! They tried on the Tink costume to make sure it fit (which it does!,) had some breakfast (cinnamon toast and fruit) and made it to the Monorail at 8.20am. Gotta’ love the monorail being IN the hotel! (A note to the Ladies: all men become boys when confronted with a MONORAIL in their HOTEL. Very good selling point to get to go deluxe, that’s all I’m saying….)

From the Monorail platform, they could see into Chef Mickey’s, so LP got to see Mickey and Donald and Goofy from above – the perfect start to her very first day at the Magic Kingdom. SW/S asked the CM if there was a co-pilot selected yet, and there wasn’t! Yay Pixie Dust!

LP’s First monorail ride was from the front car, and they traveled the entire loop, making it to the gates of the Magic Kingdom at 8.40 am. Even SW/S (who was in the college program) hadn’t seen the opening ceremony before, and they all enjoyed it, but apparently LP’s eyes almost popped out of her head when the princesses and characters came off the train!

They made it through the gates and headed for Fantasyland, pausing for a few shots along the way. (These are from their iphone – I should have more photos tonight from the super-duper fancy-schmancy Ferris cam, I hope!)

MagicStorey.jpg

They made it to Fantasyland, and immediately rode Pooh. FB and LP were off to Cinderella’s Golden Carousel, while SW/S waited in line at Dumbo. Next up was Peter Pan’s Flight – it was dark, and LP was a trooper, but she did tell SW/S that “it was a little scary.” When they got off of the ride. I totally blame myself, because I forgot to send glowsticks in the gift bag I put together for the Bueller parents! (Have I even mentioned that? Simple Dollar Tree stuff – bubbles for entertaining in lines, fan misters, etc….but I forgot glowsticks! Bad Auntie Spratt! But, again, thanks to the DIS I knew what to send!)

After Peter Pan’s Flight, it was off to Toontown to meet Tink! They were there at 10am, and there was already an hour wait posted, but they got in after a half hour, pleasantly air-conditioned wait. Right before they went in to meet the fairies, SW/S slipped LP’s Tink costume on her, but LP didn’t want to wear her wings….until she saw Irridessa’s! (I hope I spelled that right….)

Rosie (?) didn’t spend much time with LP, but Irridessa and Tink were AWESOME! As soon as they finished with the fairies, FB called me, saying the rest of the trip was pure gravy, because the Littlest Princess had met Tink!

The last update I received, SW/S had checked in at Crystal Palace for their 11.30 ressie, while FB and LP watched some of the parade (Move it shake it?) while they waited for their table to be ready.

More info as soon as I get it!

Thanks for reading!
