Aunt Polly's Dockside Diner Returns For An Encore

I guess today was the last day. I have never been at WDW when Aunt Polly's has been open, so made a point to stop by a few days ago (1/2). What a lovely escape from what was a crazy crowded park day.

The menu was limited and nothing to write home about, but it was a nice theme park dining splurge.

But wow is the setting beautiful...

It was a pleasant visit to Tom Sawyer Island, and Aunt Polly's, on this beautiful day. Shortly after this we went to IaSW to use a FP, which had a 70 minute posted standby wait... just to give some context for the crowds everywhere but this spot!

I generally enjoy Tom Sawyer's Island as it normally is a quiet respite from it's surroundings. No interest in the current menu as I'm not that into overly processed carbs and sugar but as long as Liberty Sq. Market is nearby it's all good for us. Wondering if the holiday opening of Aunt Polly's explained the long queque for the raft to the island on Christmas Day 2018 or maybe it was the closing down of Thunder Mountain for an hour or so. It was sooooo crowded that day there was even a wait to visit Swiss Family Robinsons' tree house, LOL.

We were there last week and it was closed. No idea if it will be reopening or not. Appears to be open only during high volume times.
