So - what is there going to do at Aulani? Horseback riding, tours, etc. has anone heard?

when we visited last month... the lady at DVC said there will be close to 300 tours etc to book.

the only thing we saw was a snorkel pool. and of course the beach, pools and kids clubs. (on site).

Aulani was absolutely beautiful! :)

I was told they would start booking excursions next week.

So far I have been able to book a cabana, dining, spa treatment and 2 hour kids event for my kids, they also offered a snorkling program onsite.

I know the CM said they would book Luaus (likely at Paradise Cove which is just down the road from the resort) and other off site programs.

Um ... it's Hawaii. Hang out at the pool or beach, snorkel & relax. IMO you don't need to be "entertained" every second in Hawaii. Except for a Luau. I love Polynesian dance (and mai tais). But I love to hang out and relax even more.

We plan on visiting Pearl Harbor during our 3 night stay before heading to Kauai and Maui.

How much are the cabanas?

Pre Aulani we stayed in Waikiki and took the bus, shuttles, walked or rented a car for just a day. Looks like a rental car is the way to go now. We enjoyed *Dole whips* at the Dole Plantation. Yum! There is a zoo. Dh & I went to Maui for a couple days :-) while my parents took Ds to the zoo and maybe an aquarium. Seeing Diamond Head is fun. There are plenty of places to shop. If you have a car you will not be bored.

tons to do on oahu!! but aulani is quite a ways from waikiki...might need a car... :flower:
