I suggest you check out the
Aulani website for information about how to preregister for some premium activities. Toward the bottom of the website's page are links to activities at Aulani. Click on the link for "Complimentary Kids Club', which will then display the free and premium kids' activities usually offered at Aulani. The page has the resort's phone number and a registration form for Aunty's Beach House. The preregistration opens 90 days before check-in.
Kids have to be 3 (and potty trained) to 12 years of age for drop off at Aunty's Beach House. Kids of all ages accompanied by their parents are welcome during the open house period, which is usually the first hour or two of each day.
There is a strong demand for some of the Premium kids events offered at Aunty's Beach House, so I recommend you preregister if you can.
We have been to Aulani three times, the last time in February 2016. We haven't had problems getting into Ama Ama or Makahiki, so reservations aren't really required. However, just to be on the safe side, we have made reservations for Ama Ama the day before we planned on having dinner. One caveat: We are a party of two; a party of seven might have a different experience.
The Starlit Hui is no more, having been replaced by the KA WA'A luau.
Take a look at the
Aulani Villas & Views thread here on the
DVC Resorts board. It has maps of the resort and photos of the views from dozens of villas. If you decide to request a certain location, I recommend you contact DVC Member Services directly with your request.
Good luck!
