Aulani Owners Thread - ALOHA!

Okay, thanks. We are willing to change views/rooms if needed so hopefully I can put together a decent length of stay there. We already plan on staying at another resort on the island before or after Aulani so I could always add nights to that if needed.
If you are ultra flexible you can probably make it work. You might have to do a split stay. I did a split stay at Aulani while not ideal, it wasnt too terrible

I am wondering if the 7 day mark is it for first day of the stay or the last day of the stay? Say I want to book for March 10-15, which day could I book that period?

Hi Aulani owners! I am hoping for some insight and wisdom into a (hopeful) trip to Aulani in March 2026. What are the chances I will be able to get two studios 3/24 - 3/28 (the week before Easter) at the 7 month mark? I know there is absolutely no chance we’ll get standard view - but considering trying to book ocean view anyway given it might be a one and only trip for my parents.

Any tips on room views? Is it worth the extra points for the ocean view, or should we go for pool view if they are available? First time visiting Aulani from the UK, so grateful for any advice 😊

Coming up soon on our 90 days. Has anyone been or booked recently and can comment on if the Casabella/Cabana situation has changed from a year ago?
My previous trip was last minute and I cold only snag a Casabella on the Maile Deck, we enjoyed it for the $110. I dont see that listed on the Aulani site so Im unsure if its an option anymore?
Is upper vs lower veranda worth the extra premium?
I saw the Executive Lanai last time and didn't think it seemed worth it.. thoughts?
Are the other Cabanas worth the price?

Our party will be 5 adults, 1 big kid and 1 baby staying in the GV if that makes a difference 🤣 Maybe being on the GV balcony is better than being in a cabana? HA!

We had the Executive Lanai in August of 2024. We loved the space itself and the privacy, but it was really hot. You're in direct sunlight for a large portion of the day and even though you can scoot back underneath the casabellas for some shade, it's still really hot. For some reason that area just felt like it was holding the heat and there was no air flow. When we walked out of there, we'd immediately feel the ocean breeze. And we also didn't have that experience sitting on lounge chairs anywhere else around the resort. We are hoping to return to Aulani in 2026 and we won't be booking it this time.

I called at midnight 90-days prior for our upcoming June trip and pieced together various days.

Go Lower Veranda if you want privacy and a view, avoid the Executive Lanai because you will bake in the sun. Cabana’s will be more luxurious, but none of them have an Ocean View and you will wish you were up on your GV balcony.

Thats how it looked to me almost like you are in a "hole" Thanks for confirming this is one I should skip.

I've walked along the lagoons from Aulani all the way down to the far end. What do you want to know?
The walk over to secret beach is pretty rocky but it loos like that path to Honu is paved? Is the walk long?

Is there more or less people over there than at the lagoon at Aulani?

The path is paved the whole way. I'd rate the crowd level as being a bit lower but I've never really felt the lagoon at Aulani was that bad. Its an easy, short walk so you have nothing to loose by going over there to look.

I found out you can rent chairs, etc over there so was keeping that in my back pocket as an option if booking at Aulani didnt work out or as a possible different alternative.

Just finished up my trip it was magical and amazing.

Planning my next one already. I rented points 11 months out. If I want to go next year or in 2 years but do June (to avoid missing school this time), is booking 7 months out do able for a pool view studio? Or do I gotta do 11 months again?

Th more days in a row the harder it will be, studios are harder than 1 beds. Also not every year will be the same. Last year I easily got a studio in August less than 3 months out. This year they are booked solid and so is June.

You should do the math in a resale contract and see how many stays renting it would take you to break even. There are many very well priced Aulani contracts out there right now. https://www.dvcforless.com/listings?resorts=Aulani+Resort

June will always be very difficult because the point chart is low.
