Aulani in June....do I stand a chance?

I am looking for 2 studios or a 2 bedroom in June of 2017. Do I stand a chance at the 7 month mark? Any advice??

I think you'll be fine if you book on day 1 of your 7 month window. It's a large resort. You may have better luck with a 2 bed than 2 studios but I think you'll have your choice either way if you book on the day your window opens. Cheapest rooms book first so you'll have better luck with ocean view and pool/garden view. We stayed in a Grand Villa there this June and it was wonderful with ocean views. However, if we go back, I think I might prefer a ground floor pool view because you can walk right off your patio to the pool. (Or walk easily back to your room to grab another beer.... Really wish we'd brought our Yeti cups to help keep the beer cold but our cooler worked pretty well. They have a lot of foliage around to give you privacy and I saw several people drinking coffee on their ground floor patio. I think I'd save the points on ocean view if I go back. The view is awe-inspiring at first but after day 2 or 3 of sitting on the beach looking at the ocean all day, it lost a bit of it's newness. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room until the evening when the view is less important. Good luck!

June is a rough month to get a single room at the 7 month mark at Aulani let alone booking three. The more expensive the room the better chance you will have. What I mean it is easier to get an ocean view versus an island view. In fact many of the island views are usually gone by the 7 month mark by Aulani owners. Like OKgirl said book right at the 7 month mark and hope for the best. You might end up with three rooms with different views.

June, after the first week, through July 6 is Aulani's second highest DVC demand time of the year, behind Christmas week. If you will be seeking standard view, chances are likely nil. As to others, you have a good chance early June at least for Ocean view, and possibly a chance for others, in a 2BR more likley than studios. As the month advances it becomes progressivly more difficult and if start date is after June 8, you will likely have difficulty finding more than three nights open in row with ocean view 2BRs offerring your best chances.

I rented my DVC points out for this past summer and the one renter wanted a studio at Aulani for 5-7 nights anytime from mid June-mid July. I tried almost every day right at opening to book and it was never available. After about 3 weeks, we ended up giving up and she tried other routes. I think your chances are slim at 7 months during that time period.
