aulani and ent book

We have heard there are not many things to do around Aulani and if you wanted to use the Go Oahu Card or buy an Entertainment book all the restaurants, cataraman, snorkelinng, tours etc are not good for on or around Aulani's area. Any comments .
Teenagers wish to do surf lessons, horseback riding, whale watching etc so trying to figure out the best way to accomplish at a good price. We will have a car. Any suggestions. Thanks

There is a very good living social deal on surfing. It is $35 for a two hour lesson. On the entertainment book website, it lists the stores that are included.

The Entertainment book doesn't have a lot of coupons for activities and restaurants around Aulani with the major exception of the Paradise Cove Luau. You would recoup the cost of the book on this alone. Also, the Entertainment book has an excellent coupon for the Polynesian Cultural Center if you are planning on visiting. We figured we probably saved around $75 (including the purchase price of the book) for the 6 days we were there and most of that was outside of the Aulani area. Hope that helps.

note Hawaii Ent Book is now on sale for 40% off, I bought mine yesterday when it was not on sale!!
I am sure it will be worth it for something so it is ok.
