August Vacation

Currently we have reservations at the AsMo for August. How good are the discounts at the deluxe resorts for this time of year? I believe they are in the value season. Historically, can you give me an idea of some rates? Thanks! I'm trying to convince my DH to try something different.

we stayed at WL for, i think, $139/night + tax. i also remember the discounts coming out in april. mousesavers.com has a list of when discounts were advertised the past couple years. also, have you thought about renting DVC points? that is always a good deal, especially if you pay cash on fri/sat nights.

It all depends on when in August. First half still is high season for some things.

Value season starts on Aug. 24, 2003. So if you hit the last week in Aug. you will hit value season. There was a previous post on the resort boards that had a list of last years value rates.
