August Hours are out

Are these official? They are not on Disney's site yet...planning my adr's now! Thanks!

It wasn't posted on Disney's site, I guess I'll wait until they are for ADR's.

Thank you for this information. I am planning a first time ever trip to AK on 8/15. I am glad to see that it is not EMH since we won't qualify.

Time to start planning!! I hope to squeeze in a trip with my cousin before fall semester starts! Crap, now I'll spend all weekend planning instead of writing my paper! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

party: :tink: :ccat: :goofy:

WOOHOO
Thank you - We'll be there Aug 12-26
Time to shift my focus off our March vacation and plan those ARs for August

WOW :sunny: Just had a look at them and it seems MK is open till 10pm with a 9pm spectro EVERY night that Iam there in late August.

That is unusual don't you think?? Late August is historically short hrs and very few spectros.

The EMH's are on Disney's site now...cool!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Hmm. It appears that starting 8/13 there is no early entry on Sundays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. We come home on 8/12, so not a problem for us, but I would be highly aggravated if I was there the following week and had three days of no early entry! One of the water parks is open early, but we aren't doing water parks.

It looks like the EMH schedule is following the same trend for the first part of August as it did the last week of July, which is what I was counting on. Good! The only thing I thought we would have that apparently we WON'T is an early entry at MGM on 8/7. There isn't an early entry park AT ALL that day. Which is fine. I can handle one day without early entry. ;) The others in our group might appreciate a day where I am not herding them onto a bus at 7:30 AM.

Tinker74,

That is weird - I hope it's not a mistake! We always go the last week in August (25-30 this year) and have never seen the MK open late during the week.

***While it's just a guess,*** perhaps there are already enough advance bookings for late August that Disney feels there will be a demand. How many people have booked room only ressies, hoping for that free dining code to again grace their stay? If rooms are full, Disney knows they need to keep the parks open for their guests to have a good time...

Boy - I hope not! We found it to be busy last year, but not crazy crowded. I can't stand crazy crowded. Bad enough that Florida schools are thinking about going back to school after Labor Day.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . .

Any idea when Florida will make that decision? Not that we can change our dates now, since I am too cheap to pay the penalty for changing the airline tickets. Texas has the same proposal on the drawing board, but they can't manage to accomplish anything in a timely manner so I doubt we would see the change for the 2006-07 school year.

Disney might like to have their CMs out of school until after Labor Day, though. I am assuming at least part of thier employee base is high schoolers?

NOOOOOOO someone PLease tell me that Florida schools are NOT going to change their schedule this year.

I have heard nothing of this...please calm me down. :badpc:
