August Exercise Challenge

120 this weekend for me....120/1000...Yes a little late-start...but I'm going to make it!!! :goodvibes
 
We did hours of walking yesterday at IKEA and the mall, and I am counting it as 70 minutes, putting me at 250/1200
 
Add 100 minutes for last Thurs Fri and Sat.

Yesterday I spent 3.5 hours at the Detroit Zoo, So, I think I can cout that as 70 minutes of walking. I am sure I walk 2 hours, but since not all of it was continuous, this makes sense!

Woohoo! Despite my late workout yesterday, I was up and at it first thing this morning (I even got to sleep in a bit... living up those last few weeks of summer before school starts up). So, please add another 60 minute run/jog/walk and 20 minute strength and toning, for a total of 80 minutes. This should bring my grand total to 490.

I don't think I've ever done one of these challenges before, but it makes such a difference! I made a big chart with 180 little boxes, I color one box in for every 10 minutes of exercise, and it is very motivating! Can you believe that we are 1/5 of the way through August?! Keep up the hard work, WISHers!

As of this morning I'm up to 240/1000.

Haven't decided what I'll get into today.
 
another 60 minutes for me at the gym today: elliptical, crunches, lifting weights.
 
Hmmm...I'm going with a ballpark figure for the past week. I spent most of the week at Cub Scout camp with 15 boys (age 7-9), so LOTS of activity, but no actual work-out. If I count canoeing (I was the only paddler to actually propel the boat!) and a hike as the actual work outs I'll just call it 120 minutes.

This is a long weekend in Canada, so lots of special events going on. I can't believe I actually exercised everyday this weekend. I'm in shock! I did 45min. on the treadmill today bringing my total to 380/1600.
 
45 minutes of interval training for me on the treadmill.

75 min. cardio which makes me 260/1000 :banana:

I did 55 minutes this morning of deep water. The instructor on Mondays really works you hard, I think I'll be feeling that tomorrow.

So that brings me to 350/900! Should be past the half way mark before the end of the week!
 
30 min. walking today - 10 to/from the bus stop, 20 min. at lunch. :sunny:
 
Another 30 minutes of walking - this time between the raindrops. That brings me to 270/1000.
 
Woo Hoo I've got another 65 min for yesterday evening and today! Which makes it 305/1000.
