It's finally cool after triple digit weather, but I'm not out there running. What's wrong with me?! :sad2: Day didn't get started as planned and now I've got a headache (probably caused by the change in atmosphere or sinuses, who knows?) and so am being lazy. Dog has looked at me strange a couple times this morning, especially sniffing my shoes! "These aren't her sneakers!" :lmao: Maybe in a bit we'll go for a nice long walk. Perhaps I'll get DH to join me if he gets out of bed soon.

I haven't posted in a while. :sad2: Most of my minutes the last couple of weeks are from run/walks plus a short walk and a tiny bit of weights/core. Today was 62 minute run/walk. First time out in the rain! Couldn't resist the 65 degree temperature!!!

Feel free to join in for September... the new thread will start up sometime around 8/31 or 9/1.

If you want to get a head start, go ahead and set a goal for yourself for the remainder of August and jump in right now. I'll be glad to add you to the first post and keep your progress updated.

I had 30 minutes of playing with the kids in the surf on friday - pretty strong undertow that day... interesting cross training for the running muscles.

This morning was this week's long run - 123 minutes for 10.1 miles

Total for the month is now at 953/1600

All progress through this point is now reflected in the first post.

Playing with the kids sounds like fun exercise anytime, Ted - especially in the surf! :)

Ugh - there is just no way I am going to make my goal this month. My trainer has me in muscle building mode again right now, so no long grinds of cardio or running but instead shorter duration of more intense stuff like hill climbing and a lot of circuit/weight training. My legs are killing me right now (along with my arms, my abs, etc....) :rotfl:

So for the next 13 days I am going to average 70 minutes a day and exercise every day. I can feel satisfied closing out the month with that. :thumbsup2

I am at 1054/1600 after yesterday's 45 minutes of weight training & core work with my personal trainer, 60 minutes on a bike and 25 minutes elliptical.
 
Wednesday 45 min walk/run that turned into a walk and gasp for breath as I had an asthma attack. Tried to increase my cadence to fast which then wiped me for the rest of the week.

Did get out and do a walking tour of a working Olive Mill and vineyard today. Thing with walking "down" into the vineyards was you had to walk "up" out of them. Quite a steep walk up. Now I know where to go to do my speed drills. :lmao: 120 mins

Well, I'm officially dead after this weekend. I can't peel myself off the coach I'm so sore!

Saturday- 3 hours of tennis (180 minutes)
Sunday- 3 hours of walking around downtown Madison, WI for our mini-vaca (180 minutes)
