Looking for help with my decision fatigue and a family who says “you pick, we always like what you get!”

It’s three of us, traveling middle to end of August. DS will be 7 and eats chicken, fish and pizza. Sometimes he’s adventurous and sometimes not. We are using the regular dining plan, have hoppers and staying at POP. Our first night is a room only reservation, it does not include the dining plan- which is important for # of credits and our use of our water park day.

I currently feel most overwhelmed trying to decide for our HS day and AK day- because one has few choices that appeals to us (hs) and the other has so many (Ak)

My plans right now include :
Sunday PM arrival- no food, arriving after everything is closed.

Monday - Blizzard Beach - lunch there; dinner choices of Sebastian’s or Raglan Road.

Tuesday- MK -> EP - Dinner choices of Chef Mickey or Garden Grill.

Wednesday- EP - Hacienda, Biergarten or a resort?

Thursday - HS - sci Fi or just skip a sit down and do counter service

Friday- no park in the AM, MNSSHP at night - Topolinos breakfast, whispering Canyon or Grand Floridian cafe late lunch?

Saturday - AK- yak and yeti

Sunday- homecoming brunch

My opinion:

Raglan Road - great food and entertainment
Garden Grill - I love a sit-down character meal. I find buffets to be chaotic. I've never had a bad meal at Garden Grill!
Hacienda - lovely atmosphere, good food (we like San Angel as well). I've had some pretty bad, unsanitary experiences at Biergarten :(
Sci-Fi - Arguably the best themed restaurant in WDW, so unique and the food is decent. I find GF Cafe's menu to be too limited at this point
Whispering Canyon - great food and service, I find GF Cafe's menu to be too limited at this point

Yak & Yeti, Homecoming - great choices!

Thanks! I realize now I confused Whispering Canyon with Geyser Point!

At Hollywood Studios, I think the Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios would be fun for a 7 year old (provided everyone in the group can deal with high sensory input). Food is served family style, and our whole family has been happy with it. It's not upscale, but maybe you could do it with Sci Fi Drive In?

Topolino's breakfast is outstanding--one of our favorite meals in the park. Depending on your arrangements for transportation, if you go to Whispering Canyon, you can take a boat over to Magic Kingdom (and back after MNSSHP ends, I think). Do not ask for ketchup at Whispering Canyon! Or do, if you like pranks.

Tuesday, I think it depends a lot on your preferences. Chef Mickey's is buffet style, and you see all of the main characters. At Garden Grill, you will see Chip and Dale, Mickey, and Pluto (but maybe Goofy). At Topolino's, you will see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, so you won't miss them if you opt for Garden Grill. I think Garden Grill is a little more relaxing, and it's fun that the restaurant rotates. The meals are served family style there.

I think Yak and Yeti will have food that a 7-year-old would like. It is probably a better choice than Tiffins, for that age. Also, better for the parents than Pizzafari (right name?). Satuli Canteen has imaginative food; it would be an interesting choice after your family has seen Avatar, but maybe not so much fun at age 7. Also, I think it is best for lunch or snacks, as opposed to dinner.

I can't help you with Sebastian's or Raglan Road, because we have not been there yet.

I have not been to Homecoming, either, but I have read wonderful reviews!

My thoughts:

Monday - Sebastian’s- it's so good!! Especially the dessert!

Tuesday- Garden Grill- never had a bad meal there.

Wednesday- Biergarten is great! Lots of variety, great music!

Thursday - Sci Fi is my kids favorite restaurant. Great spot to cool down in too!

Friday- Topolinos is probably the best breakfast on property.

Saturday - yak and yeti- not my favorite. My kids really don't love it. If we're doing a sit down on our AK day we like Tusker House or go to AKL to Boma

Sunday- homecoming - Sooooooo good!!

You've got lots of great picks! Have a blast!!

Tusker house was my second choice, but I also am not sure if we just want to snack around all day - as we really enjoyed Sautuli last time we visited and I have a list of snacks that are “must haves” from AK specifically.

My choices:
1. Sebastian's - we ate there last time and really liked it! If your little one doesn't like what they bring out you can ask for fries and chicken tenders :)

2. Garden Grill for sure. I have never been to Chef Mickey but it just seems so noisy and chaotic there.

3. Maybe Ohana at the Poly? You can take the monorail from Epcot to Poly...

4. Sci-Fi was cool... although my 6 yr old at the time said the vintage movies they play were too scary... :p

5. Topolino's breakfast was hands down my favorite meal last trip. Food is super yum, characters are on point and service super friendly.

Have fun! :)

That's an even better plan! Satuli is our favorite QS and there are so many amazing snacks. Our must haves every trip are the grilled corn and Mr. Kamal's fries.

Mr Kamals fries are seriously at the top of my list!
