August Crowds

How are the crowds this month, we leave on tuesday and i'm just wondering

Hi! I don't think the crowds are going to be too bad. I was changing some PS's this week and there were plenty of meal times available, that's a clue. The CM said that this time of year is when it starts to slow down. I'm leaving on the 13th for our trip.

The first two weeks WDW is be busy. Middle August is a excellent time visist WDW because all the southern schools is insession.

Are you getting excited yet? I know we are! If you can, watch the travel channel tonight around 9PM EDT, its about DisneyWorld Last year we went July 23-30 and it wasn't to bad as far as waiting to get on the rides. We went early, took a break in the afternoons and went back in the evenings. We also used FastPass. Our longest wait was at the Haunted Mansion which I would say lasted about 20-25 minutes.(May have been a little longer). Met some great peole while waiting in line.Very nice teenagers

We'll be leaving Thurs.(Aug. 5) with friends that NEVER been to Disney. Can't wait to show them around no matter if it is crowed or not.

I hope they aren't to bad! I have a handicap sister who can't walk or talk, so we get a pass, so i'm not nessicarily(sp) worried about lines, just getting around in general
I leave in less than 24 hours! Yay!

we're getting excited to... leaving in about a week!! my brother-in-law (a fla. resident) said the kids in florida go back to school aug. 9.... we'll be there just after that!! hopefully the crowds will be down a touch...we don't mind 1/2-45min waits....anything more might be hard....looking forward to FP away.....

We are leaving in 2 1/2 weeks and cannot wait . I'm also hoping that the crowds won't be to bad by the end of the month.

We are leaving in two weeks and cannot wait. I think the crowds will be lower this year than the past. WDW has taken the unusual step of giving its seasonal passholders the whole month of August (usually such passes kick in in September). I am hoping that the summer Olympics will keep such people away

good point....hadn't thought of that one!!

We will be there Aug 8th -- we like to take things at a relaxed pace, so we are not to worried about the crowds. We will do what we can when we can and hit the rest at a later date!

Can't wait for Sat to get here so we can hop in the truck and go!!!
