We'll be there 8/20 - 8/27. I am so excited and it's still 6 months away. The best part about this trip is that it's a first for a friend of ours and his 7 yr old son. I think I'm more excited about them than I am for myself!

just decided on our dates...8/11-20. Going to celebrate our 20th Anniv. ( DH proposed on BTMRR way back when ) Anyway...hoping to do a split stay pulling off the Dolphin and 4/5 nights at the Poly. Anyone have any crowd thoughts for the mid August timeframe? Our kids don't head back to school 'till the 28th....a week later than normal for us, but sure helped allow us to plan opur trip right over our Anniversary!

Last year, mid-August was quite manageable, IMO. Just have your ADR's in place and use Fast Pass. We spent little time waiting in lines. EXCEPT the waterpark. That was a waste of 1/2 day. The wave pool was neat as it was different than others we've been to, but lines for the slides and such--forget it.
The heat was the worst part of August. But, as we are planning to return then, it should tell you that it didn't take away too much from our trip. Enjoy!

We are leaving here August 12th (my birthday!) for 2 weeks in Florida. POP Century August 15-18. We are going to the 4 parks at Disney and do other things in Florida as well. Busch Gardens with my brother and my nephews, they live in Florida. While we are at POP Century we are going to enjoy all the resorts and go to the parks when we go offsite. We want to see what all the resorts have to offer. Go down to Miami and the Keys. Do all different things.

Last week I cancelled our Easter trip.

This week I rescheduled our trip for August.

If all goes well, my son and I will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, August 24-September 3.

August 15, 16 and 17 at Vero Beach in a Beach Cottage

We've been many times in August. We love the late park hours that give us a chance to relax at the pool during the day. I love to end with a few days at Vero Beach. We are going this year with another family of 5. We leave 6 months from today!!!

Thanks MLWEAR.... Still have to get used to calling the dining ressies "ADR's"! 3 years ago we were at WDW 8/6-8/13...had the 7/4 Fairy Tale Pkg., so while we do remember the heat and afternoon rains, to us we thought it was pretty crowded. We have been over the July 4th week, and in '04 went 12/18-12/28...and yes, Christmas was crowded, but it had it's ebb and flows...there were days that were very light, walk -on's even! So, we thought the August time frame was worse than the 2 Holiday trips we made, go figure! Since we are going a week later in August this time, I am hoping to have the same type of luck that we did for Christmas, or even better!

Yep!! We will be at the Beach Club 8/20-8/30. First time there & looking forward to it!

My DS (16) and I DM will be at the BCR at the same time. We have a land/sea package reserved but we are adding a couple days of land and will be arriving on Friday morning on the 18th.

We're going to be at the BWV from 8/13-8/20. DH, me and 3 DS (9,7,4), plus my mom.

We were there last summer at exactly the same time and it was HOT!! But as everyone likes to remind me - it was Florida in August. Hey, I'm a NYer! The crowds didn't seem too bad to us. Well, except for MK on a Monday and then AK on a Thursday. Does AK always seem crowded because of the size of the park or are some days lighter? I used the touringplans website last year and I knew not to go to MK on Monday, but my youngest son really, really wanted to go on Buzz Lightyear!! It was his first time there, so I indulged him. Never again!! This year, we're sticking to my plan!

We'll be there 160 days from today actually!

DH, DD (then 7), and I will be staying Aug. 11-20 at the POP. I booked the airline tickets, car rentals, and room today! I'm a little exhausted now. LOL!

Here's hoping some cool code will come our way for our stay. I could stand to save a few bucks right now.
