I spent the day in the Emergency Room with my mother yesterday. Hopefully she will come home today. I called her and she couldn't make any words and I got real scared. She was better when I got to the house but the doctor said she had to go to the hospital for tests - she was not happy about that and even less happy when they said she had to stay. Hopefully we will get the test results today and she can come home. I think I need a vacation in Alaska.

Oh I do hope everything turns out ok. Sending good vibes ur way...
Hope the doctors can figure out what it is and take care of it. In the meantime take care of yourself!!

I'm guessing they hold times back (similar to Palo) as they quite often offer a "special" of the day at the spa. They usually have an open house the first afternoon so I would check with them at that time and enjoy your massage!!

Thanks! So glad to hear there is still hope of getting a massage! I know I will need it by the time I get on the ship!

Also...went to Home Depot today and cleaned out their supply of Alien Green paint chips...which are actually stickers...how cool! I'm guessing DCL would not like those being stuck to the stateroom doors.....oh well!

I called DCL this morning and got everything straightened out. We were both on the reservation, but listed as two seperate households. That may have been because this cruise was booked before we got married. LOL! He got his docs in the mail and all is good.

I had an interview today at Target that went very well. I'm hoping to hear back soon from them because I REALLY want to get off of unemployment. I feel very confident about it so my fingers are crossed. I also mentioned both of my vacations this year, so all is good there, hopefully!

We have Walmart...but really not the same...Thankfully Target is coming in 2012 and replacing Zellers...which tries to be Target I guess but doesn't cut it at all! For now....we Toronto peeps drive to Buffalo to get our Target fix...I am actually doing that tomorrow to get some cruise stuff

Starwood, stay strong! I know exactly what you are going through. My mom was in and out of the hospital/intensive care/rehab/skilled nursing facility in the summer of 2008 after a fall in the shower. Hopefully your mom's road to recovery is short, as worrying about a parent weighs heavily on family members. Think positively!

We decided to change our excursions a bit. We decided to do the Whale tour with Harv and Marv in Juneau because you get to go in a very small boat, and also the times just worked out better for us. I'm so excited!

GREAT CHOICE!!!! That is the one we had booked until we had to cancel the cruise. You will not regret going with Harv and Marv (at least that was the conclusion I came to after read post after post on another cruise board).
