August 9, 2011 (8/9/2011) Taking the Wonder to see the AMERICAN CHILD

I just booked PODCAST 3.0 cruise .5 nites on the Dream. am I taking the empty nest thing to far??? LOL..

hmmm..maybe that is 5 nights on the Dream...but ..atlas..didnt go with it.. DH is not excited about it
.. so.. unless i can find a roommate i will have to look at a different cruise like the members cruise or????

Shore excursions are posted on the DCL site :banana::banana:

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/shore-excursions/search/

I looked at a few for pricing - the Lumberjack show which is a 10 minute walk (according the the Disney link) is $38 for adults. You can buy them online for $35.00.

The whale watch and glacier trip is $139 per adult - the private (Harv and Marv not Disney one) is $149.

I don't know about the other prices - those were the only 2 I looked at.

Very excited to see the shore excursions, so many to choose from. I just booked my flight today, used miles for DD6 and I and paid the outrageous fare for DH:scared1:! Cannot wait! :dance3:

Okay I have a list of 15 I want to do now I have to narrow it down to 3.

So, I'm looking at the Vancouver Aquarium as something to maybe do the day before the cruise....

I found this quite amusing:
**** Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult or guardian aged 13 or over. The Vancouver Aquarium reserves the right to verify the age and identity of any unaccompanied minor or young guardians.

Maybe its just my warped sense of humor, but I don't ever think that a 13 year old would be the guardian of a 12 year old...

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's finally 2011 and this cruise is this year! :)

More excursions have been added....

Uh oh!! We all are having a hard time deciding and now we have more to choose from? Woohoo!!! I can't wait to see the new ones!!

Happy New Year! All day my daughter has been saying, I am so excited! I can't believe we are going to Alaska this year!

Posted on another thread.

Available I believe in April, will be the new Alaska coupon book. Total cost is $5, and that charge is to ship it to the U.S. ($10 to Canada).

This book was really handy for us, it included maps & information, along with the tons of coupons. It helped us decide ahead of time what type of souvenirs we wanted and which ports had the better prices for them.
It has food coupons in it, too.

I wonder if any of the coupons will be provided on the ship at the shopping talks.

another member that is excited../ looked at the excursions and waiting until peeps report back on their experiences..but so far i want to do most of them..if i only had $$$$$$ lol

we have to wait for 3/15 to pre order..hmm..

A good site to read sometime between now, and umm... oh yeah....

Also, I THINK I can post this link here -- there is someone who posts to this site a lot when they go on Disney cruises, that is how I found this person's website, but she has a packing list of what to pack extra for Alaska - she went in July: http://moonprincess.com/travel/470/ -- She is not a travel agent nor does she recommend one on her website, so I thik its safe to post it.

Also - a tour book that has a few two for one deals - http://www.toursaver.com/index.php/alaska -- might or might not be worth the purchase if you are planning on doing some private tours...
