August 30th 2009 - 4 night Wonder

:yay: We're going to Atlantis!!!

I have been monitoring the Comfort Suites site in order to find a reasonable rate for a room with full access to Atlantis...today on the Comfort Suites site I got a room for 4 people for $158.40. I know that the hotel will tack on an additional $40 or so at check-in, however; this rate is great!!! I did use a AAA rate, but even without that it would have been about $176...that's not bad at all compared to Disney Atlantis rates or even the day pass Atlantis rate. Anyhoo...thought that I would pass along this information to you all...we have never done Atlantis before and we are going to surprise the kids with the adventure! :cool2:

Congratulations on booking the Comfort Suites room for the Atlantis park! Why will they tack on another forty dollars? It is our first time on a cruise and to Nassau, so we are only interested in exploring the port a bit on our own and staying on the ship the rest of the time. We will have probably had our fill of water parks by the time we get there anyway (I have added the option to our disney tickets).

Janet - how are the adrs? I still have a few more to book this week.

Thank you DoaD (I hope you don't mind the acronym) for the number. I called and booked the 10 am shuttle! I got a great rate there, by the way... Friday night Free! :woohoo: This is getting all the more exciting!

I believe that this is the breakdown of the additional stuff...$4.50 per person 12 and older for housekeeping gratuity...$9.95 per adult for energy surcharge...for us that would total about $35 or so. I am not sure "why" but I have read many times to be aware that the price quoted is not everything that will be charged...:cutie:

You all are going to have a blast at the Disney water parks! :goofy:

Good luck! :wizard: The only Adr I wasn't able to get that I wanted was 'Ohana, so we just added another day at Kona Cafe. Have you seen the desserts there?:cloud9:

Great, We will be the frazzled looking ones speaking Greek;)

The best part is that you will be headed to "Plenty o' Rum n Parlay 4 None!" pirate:

Oh and also...we will be the loud group with 4 kids...we are going to have "Plenty o' Rum n Parlay 4 None" once we get on the ship...trust me! :thumbsup2

I really like the "Plenty o' Rum n Parlay 4 None." I think that I am going to start using it more often...kind of puts you in the cruising mood! :boat: Or partying mood...:woohoo: Or Jack Sparrow mood...pirate: BTW...we got to meet him at Castaway Cay in April...very nice...I mean for the pictures that my kids took with him!!! ;)

I wish I could take credit for the slogan, but if I am not mistaken, Carys actually came up with it a while back. Still, I seem to be the only one to have adopted it :rotfl: (until now, that is ) pirate:

Ok, I give up. What is ADRS? I apologize in advance for the dumb question...

Kevin

I know these abbreviations can be difficult .
Advance dinner reservations.
Janet

Hi Kevin, Sorry for the confusion It's my fault for going :offtopic:. Because the weeks before and after the cruise fall under the 'free dining' promotion at Walt Disney World in Orlando, anyone wanting to eat in any of the Disney Restaurants (apart from fast food counters, of course) had better make an Advance Dining Reservation (ADR) or they will have a rather difficult time of it, or so I was told.

I'm glad I got you posting though! ;) I am only going to have regular computer access until mid june, then my ability to post will be sporadic at best, that is why I am trying to get as organized as I can, especially with things like fish extender stuff and cruise meets etc:hyper:

Oh, and happy Memorial Day to our friends in the States!

I know that this is somewhat far out, but we might want to think about a cut off date for signing up for the FE exchange. There appears to be a good deal of people traveling to Florida before the actual cruise date, and I know that they would want to have a final FE count and list. I know that some of us will not have a cabin assignment until 30 days out, but we can post them as soon as we get them. :surfweb:

:grouphug: Also (if wanted) a cruise meets location and time can be set soon...this is for all of us planners...we can go ahead and put it on our schedule...:)

Anyhow...just some thoughts...with all of the ADR planning and such...I was getting excited!!! :cutie: We're almost at the 3 month mark!!!

Hi disney on a dime
Please can you organize because it is all new to me .
:worship:
Janet

:woohoo: on getting your adrs! Kinda feels like this one at the end, doesn't it? :laundy: (I mean relieved and yet exhausted)

:sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail: :sail:

Whoa! With all of the planning excitement...did I just step into a roll of organization? :upsidedow

I would be glad to help with anything and might have a few suggestions from my past cruises. I am not as versed on cruising as I am with WDW, but I have figured a few essential things out.

So I guess it's let the "Plenty o' Rum and Parlay 4 None" planning begin! (I am not sure who thought that up, but it's very good!) pirate:
