We just booked this cruise.

We are actually on the 8/15 cruise on the Magic, then 8 days at WDW, and just decided to add this cruise at the after that. These would be our 10th and 11th cruises.

Hello Bishop family! It is really saying something about DCL that you would choose to have one before and after your stay in Orlando! How exciting for you!

well, there are no direct flights from PDX (Portland, Oregon) which is our closest airport. The flight to MCO takes about 8 hours plus we lose 3 hours for the time zone changes. I might as well do as much as possible in each trip.

Our last cruise was the back-2-back 15-night PC eastbound followed by the 5-night nassau+2 stops at CC. We missed one stop at CC because of weather but it would have been cool to be at castaway cay 3 times in the same week.

This is our 11th cruise with disney.

Anyone going to Atlantis (booking the comfort suite room option)? I've never done this but lots of people talk about it. I might be do it this time.

I'm not sure about the singing happy birthday to mum idea, I think she'd freak out for sure but unsure if in a good way, since she'll be jetlagged and tired from travelling in Europe beforehand!! It's a very cool idea if pulled off, but I think it might be in the too hard and unpredictable basket!

I took a step toward fish-extenderdom today, with the purchase of various implements including *gulp* my first ever hot glue gun. Basically, not having a sewing machine, I'm taking a closet pocket hanger, covering it with winnie the pooh cut-outs from a cheap lime-green table cloth, and yellow ribbon and random sparkly things. I'll update with the final result when complete, but for now here are my raw materials!

Just booked this cruise, to go back to back with the Sept 3rd bounce back offer......well, that cost me!! LOL

Speaking of fish extenders...after a short self-taught course in how to use a $2 hot glue gun, I have finished (I think!) my fish extender! I decided to stick with two pockets for simplicity, and haven't personalised with names, dates, room cabs yet as not sure what I want it to say (I may even just leave it blank...), simple and sparkly

Oh, also a quick note to say check your cruise docs carefully! I got an updated invoice in the mail a couple of days ago that showed two members of our cabin at the first dinner seating and the third at the second seating!! My emails with Disney earlier show them confirming everyone for the main seating so I'll need to get onto this to double check what happened.

Well done! I had never thought of using a hot glue gun. I actually broke out the sewing machine for mine. It isn't done yet, but I hope to get to it now during Easter 'break'. No matter what, I will post a picture next week.

Thanks again TiggerTails Debster, I think I felt comfortable going the glue route only because I was just using it to glue decorations on a storebought pocket hanger, if I needed to make the hanger from scratch (i.e. use the glue to make structural components such as keeping the pockets from falling apart) then I would have been more hesitant. Can't wait to see your FE!

I couldn't tell you what the dimensions of my own fish extender are as I don't have a ruler or tape to hand I'm afraid, but I read on the main fish extender thread that if the extender is more than 8-9 inches wide it starts to interfere with the door, so maybe keep the width under 8 inches? Looking forward to seeing your FE

I'm all about the bling too. If you like I'll bring a packet or two of bling with me, they cost practically nothing and they're stick on so she can decorate it herself on the boat - what's her favourite color(s) or what would be a good colour(s) for your FE?

Come to think of it the packets are every small so I could just throw some into the post to you if you like Then it could be done ahead of time instead of wasting precious cruise time

That is really most generous of you. Actually, we will have some time in Florida before the cruise, and one week of that time we will be staying in a place with no TV, PC, etc. I am thinking that we will find some at a dollar store or craft store if she likes and she and her sister can do whatever they want.
