We are looking at heading off to Loterie farms for the ziplining adventure and thinking about SNUBA at St. Thomas or St. John. Has anyone done these before? Any recommendations? We're not big into shopping, although if DH wants to buy me a hunk of jewlery, he is more than welcome...

We're considering Loterie Farm too. We've done zip lines before and had a great time! I've read mixed reviews about the ones at LF though.
Also, someone on cruise critic recently tried to pre-book through one of the independant excursion sites and found all Loterie Farm trips had been removed. When they asked why they got this response back:
"Unfortunately Loterie Farm, have recently undertaken to only take Cruise Lines bookings, or persons making their own way to the farm if staying on island.
They are no longer accepting online reservations, which is a great shame for our clients, but something we are unable to prevent despite our obvious dissapointment at this decision."
My guess is that if you show up and don't mention you're on a cruise, they'll happily accomodate you. Just something to be aware of.
It seems the cruise lines are trying to get exclusive deals with a lot of the providers they use. I've read about similar things happening with some of the dolphin swims on other islands.
We've done snuba before, but not in St Thomas.
I'd say reactions were mixed (we were a group of 6)
DH, who has scuba aspirations, loved it.

I was OK with it, but certainly didn't love it.
Of course swimming with fish has never been high on my list of must do experiences.

DD10, a very good swimmer and champion snorkeler, hated it.
I think everyone else enjoyed it and would say they were glad they went.
DH is the only one who wants to go again though.
