We're staying at the Radisson for two nights before we sail. I called them a few days ago to reserve the shuttle. The 10:00 and 10:30 shuttles were both full. They were offering 11:00 through 2:00. Being the good DIS-er that I am, I'm not waiting for the 11:00 shuttle. We'll have a Budget rental car so we'll just take the Budget shuttle instead. We got a shuttle ride from Budget the first time we cruised and it was fine - so I guess that's what we'll do.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case you were planning to stay at Radisson and hadn't yet reserved the shuttle.

By the way, is 10:00 the earliest we can arrive at port? Should we get there any earlier?

You can't get there any earlier, they don't open the port to incoming passengers until that time.

We reserved the shuttle over 2 weeks ago and are on the 10:30 shuttle. I was upset the 10 had booked so early, but we had just switched our res to the Radisson then. I got a great Friday night free offer, so we only had to pay for Thursday night. So I guess we may run into you guys before the cruise at the pool.

Does anyone have the FE instructions bookmarked? I thought I had marked it, but now I cannot find the instructions. My hubby said he'd help me try to make one! We want to go get the fabric, but I'm not sure how much to get.

At the top of the Cruise Line Forum is a FAQ in alphabetical Order post. In there scroll down until you see FE, there is a place to click for directions on a no sew one that has all the measurements. Jan may have found another one, but these directions could be used either to sew or not to sew it.

Here are the ones I found... I ended up emailing them to myself so I wouldn't lose them again. LOL! I'm tweaking it a little to make it easier on myself, but I did buy my fabric yesterday at JoAnn's. We'll have a pirate theme!



Fish Extender Instructions (If you're going to make them.)


You need 1/4 yard of fabric, iron interfacing, wide double fold bias tape, and a 3/8" dowel 8" long.

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"


Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.

The last cruise, I bought a FE that was evidently illegal. The Cabin Steward kept asking me to take it down because it too wide. I got it off of Ebay but it was three pockets wide and two pockets long.

Schools will be out at the end of the week for my children That leaves almost 3 months at home. We will be going to Dallas, TX for a week in July

Hopefully this will help to shorten the Summer Blues until our vacation.

We have 2 1/2 weeks left here in school. Kids get out on the 23rd, then off to camp on the 29th. So less than a week on idle time here, they end camp on the 21st of Aug, we leave for FL on the 22nd!

My boys are involved in Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts and have several camping trips planned this summer. Luckily for me, the DH usually goes and mommy gets to stay home in the nice A/C house in her comfy bed, with the pool all to myself, while they get all hot and buggy in the woods somewhere! Actually, I used to love to go camping, but I broke my back 5 years ago, and since then sleeping on the cool ground does not do wonders for it, my DH actually proposed to me on a camping trip!

My daughter’s last day of school is on the 19th. We are going to Las Vegas for a few days in the end of June to celebrate a birthday and in July we will be gone for a couple of weeks visiting Washington DC and New York. It will be our first time visiting Washington DC and New York so I have been busy trying to plan everything we are going to see and do. The more I research the more I realize there is just so much to see and do.

My oldest two boys are on summer baseball teams. We have games about every other day and almost every weekend from now until the end of July. So no time for a vacation for us.... not until August 27 when we fly to Orlando!!!! We'll need it by then after all the driving we'll be doing to games.

I have work deadlines at the end of July and mid-August. So, the trip is my reward. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take the kids anywhere.

The girls don't get out of school until last Friday of June. They will probably have swimming once or twice a week in July. Nanny will be taking them out to the park, etc. every day. Those weeks will fly by.

We leave on the 18th of August before the kids start school again right after the cruise.

Seems like summer hasn't even started and it's ending?

My little guy finished school today, my 10yo has 1/2 day tomorrow, then 11&10 yo go in for a prayer service Friday, and their done until Sept! The cruise is actually their first week of school, they will miss 3 1/2 days the first week, but I thought it better than a whole week. Plus they usually don't do that much during the first week, and I know they wont miss any tests, plus they will get Monday off as an extra recouperation day before heading to school.

I know it's a little early, but I want to make sure to catch Magic Quest the first night. The first cruise we were on, we came in late and saw the tail end but it looked like lots of fun. Since it's only my husband and I, we need some people to be on our team. I don't know how many can be on a team, but maybe a bunch of us can all go and put together a team. Anybody else want to play Magic Quest?
