August 29th, 2009--Eastern Magic...Let's Get it Started!

Hey... why can I book Palo/Spa/Etc...

I just did it on DCL's site.

I thought CC members don't open until the 31st

Do you have the Romantic Escape at Sea booked? I think you can book online at 100 days or so if you have that . . .

Any more interest?

Any one fax in a request for the private room?

Hello? Anyone home?

I have a friend who has done the private room on a previous cruise, but he is out of town now . . . I'm not sure exactly what the procedure is to try for this, but I think we need names and reservation numbers for everyone who wants to do it, and at least 12 people.

Hello everyone! We will be joining you on the Eastern Magic cruise on
August 29th. It will be myself Audrey (52) my DH Doug (64) and our DGS Spencer (almost 6). Doug and I did our first DCL on the May 2nd Western and rebooked before we left. We had such a fabulous time and thought our grandson would love it. We would also like to sign up for the FE. We did this on our last cruise and had a great time.
We will be going to WDW before the cruise for almost a week. We will be staying at POP Century for a couple of days and then moving to Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom (we are DVC members).
Glad to be joining you!!

Welcome to our group. Sounds like you will be having a great time even before the cruise:goodvibes

According to other threads, it looks like Soul Drive will be the live band on board and Brent may be our Cruise Director:confused3

We had Brent on our first cruise (Great Australian accent) and we had Christiaan on our second cruise (My kids loved his cartwheels):thumbsup2

You can't go wrong with either Brent or Christiaan . . . although it's hard to beat Brent's accent:goodvibes The only CD I was less than impressed with was Rachel on the Westbound TA in 2007.

WELCOME aboard!!!!!!! :cheer2:

I am interested in a meal at Palo with someone. I was thinking brunch, but will be flexible with what others prefer. I want to try it and not have to eat there alone. :grouphug:

When I woke up in the middle of the night CNBC was showing a cruise special about how cruise lines make money. They had a reporter on the Norwegian Pearl and they were discussing how much alcohol they have to sell to make a profit.

The cruise director was stating that it is their job to get those vacation dollars out of our pockets:scared1:

They showed a lot of behind the scenes activity and the desire for you to have a great time and come back with your family and friends:goodvibes

Joe

We were on the Pearl in April. Saw the CNBC special before sailing and they were playing it on the ship's tv. BEAUTIFUL ship. We had a great time. :goodvibes

WELCOME!!!

Yeah - you get to try out the new resort! Love AKL - we stayed at Jambo House twice now.

We are trying out BLT for 6 nights before the cruise. 5 nights before that at CSR for free dining - couldn't pass that up! :woohoo:

If we can't get the private room, a few of us could make reservations at the same time on the same day and try to be seated near each other -- and some of us going as single adults could try to sit together at a table for two or four (depending on how many of us there are) . . .

I would prefer brunch as well.

If there is enough interest for the private room at Palo I can arrange it... BUT... the clock is ticking.

I would do it for dinner, not a good idea for brunch.

Hi,

Anyone interested in being tablemates?

We have late dinning.

I would like company for my 7 year old daughter. It makes a nicer evening for Mommy and Daddy.

Thanks!

Why do you say it is not a good idea for brunch? I have been in the private room for brunch and dinner and both are great. Brunch often works out better for more people because they don't have to abandon their kids at dinner time . . . The only factor may be that there will only be the three sea days to try for brunch and they may have already been booked.

Greetings,
Myself(41), my wife(41), my daughter Rachel(6), my son Shane(4), my father(77), my mother(73), my niece Cheyenne(13), and my other niece Montanna(10) will be on th cruise.
I booked it last year using DVC points. How many other DVC members are there? We went on the 4 day Bahama cruise on November 30th on the Wonder and it was great. We already booked this one before we went on the 4 night.
Hopefully going to Disney in early December 2009 or May of 2010.

As our 90 days is fast approaching, I am receiving several pm's about getting the final list together for the FE. I need your opinions on when to make a cut off date. Even if we cut it off, if someone comes in last minute and wants to join, it would be with the understanding that they may not receive something from everyone, I would list them in a different color on the list, so you guys would know they joined later. I know some people are ordering things, and some are making the amount they need. I will have extras, so to me it is no big deal to have extra people join, hence me asking for those who are participating to let me know what they think. There is still one person on the list I have not heard from nor have they posted anything since January, hope they will check back in soon. I would like you guys to let me know when the cutoff should be, and if it is ok to take additional people after that date with the understanding mentioned above. Right now, I think there are 16 families involved. Once the cutoff date comes, I will post the list again. Please let me know what you are thinking.
