I know it's been ages since I've posted, but I've been reading and trying to stay caught up. You know how misc. things get in the way of computer time!

Anyway, I wanted to say that we will be in WDW before the cruise, arriving the 22nd or 23rd of August. We'll be staying at CBR in those new pirate rooms and then taking a van to the ship. I would share, but since we're cruising with friends, there will be 8 of us in the van as it is. We don't use the DCL transportation cause it turns out to be more money for all of us than a van, and we can get there when we want with the van.

After the cruise, since it's Labor Day weekend, we're planning to stay overnight and head back Sunday or Monday. Haven't booked a room for that part yet.

Did anyone see the special rates on the DIS page for our cruise? $999 for a Cat 10. Makes me want to switch!

We get a discount through my husbands work, so it wouldn't apply to us anyway. I think the discount is usually only on new bookings though, isn't it?

Since we booked when the dates first came out, this deal probably is not that great for us because we only have three people in each room.

We got the initial pricing and $250.00 room credit per cabin. If we would try to cancel the reservation to take advantage of the deal it will be at the current rates plus I may loose some of my credits and choice of rooms.

Usually if you are before the final payment date, which we of course are, you can rebook at the new rate . . . but you have to check first to see if it is a better one since you would miss onboard credit and discount from booking on board (if that is how you initially booked, as we did). . . If you have two adults and two children in the room, though, you might still come ahead . . . we should keep an eye out on this one!

It seems only some CC members got the email from Disney with the pin according to the boards, I was not one of them. I checked the rates anyway, just in case, for 2 adults in a cat 5 and it was more than we paid, so we will be sticking with what we booked, even if we ever get offered it. I think this one works out better for people booking a last minute trip, then someone who booked a while ago. From what people were saying on the main boards, for the most part it works out to what you would have paid when the booking date originally opened, or pretty close to the amount. People that didn't book right away may end up with a discount off what they booked.
