August 26, 2010 3 night Wonder cruise

We're going to be joining you on this cruise .... we just booked this trip as the second half of our back to back. Traveling with me this time are DH, DS (9), DS(6) and DD (2).

Anyone else doing the Aug 22 and Aug 26 back to back? We're in stateroom 8034 for both trips.

I haven't caught up with the previous posts yet, but if there's an FE list going, would you add us? I'm already being asked about it!

Welcome! We are only sailing on the 26th, we start school on the 31st, so we thought it would be a great way to end summer!

Okay, WE ARE BACK!!!

We had a wonderful time at DLRP, wonderful weather and what is there NOT to like at a Disney park!
I am now trying to catch up and if I should miss a question PLEASE let me know again!

AND, since there are so many of us already interested in a FE list, I am going to put one up in my first post.
Please, let me know your first names, ages of the kids and stateroom number (so I can come up with maps for everyone to make it easier to find the staterooms)

So for those of you more experienced in the FE, Question? Do I leave 3 gifts, one from myself and one from each of the kids or do we as a cabin leave 1 thing? Thanks, I have a ton of cool ideas already!

Tom and I have only participated in a FE once, so my experience is limited to this one time!
What we did was, to leave a present as "a stateroom". As this is like a "Secret Santa" game we left a small goody every day, but there were other participants who left one gift for the cruise, some left a gift every other day. It is up to you.
We sometimes left ONE gift for the "whole cabin", like a screensaver for everyone in the stateroom to share and sometimes we would leave one gift for everyone in the stateroom, like a small box of candy for mum, one for dad aso.
Tom has come up with a list of cool things again and we can't wait to start making our gifts!

Whoo hooooo! We just booked our Back2Back cruise too! We will be sailing the first part on Aug. 26, and the second part on Aug 29. We went on our first Disney cruise in January and LOVED it!

This is going to be our second Disney cruise too! We did the first one in August 09 and we loved it so much we booked our next cruise while we were still on board.

It's really interesting to see how many people do a back2back cruise! Tom and I are doing one too. We'll start with the one on Aug 26 and our second one is the one on Aug 29!

I am going to start a FE list today and I will put it in my first post. It was so much fun and we cannot wait to do it again!

So far I am not sure if Pixiedustdawn and kathymike would like to participate. Please let me know if you want to be put on the list.

If you already know your stateroom number, please let me know as well and if you don't mind, please state your first names as well (maybe ages of kids as well, makes picking gifts for little ones easier)

Our vacation starts in just 81 more days! (We'll stay at OKW for 12 nights prior to the cruise! ) ........... and I CANNOT wait!!

Just wondering if August is much hotter on average than June? We've cruised to Nassau in June (it was typical warm, sunny beach weather) but wondering if August could be blazing hot? Just wondering if the sand is so hot you need water shoes...things like that....extra precautions because of the heat.

You can see that I have "packing" on my mind...I know we have a few days yet, but the excitement is building!

We've cruised in August before and while the sand is fine to walk on to the beach, walking on the paths can get pretty hot without shoes. And the little ones will need something on their feet since mine are all sensitive to the heat.

I wrote my packing list yesterday! I was sitting at school waiting to pick up the kids, so I figured I could take a 10 minute mental vacation!!!

Hi all!

I apologize for not updating any sooner, but I was away on a weeklong trip with my class, then we went for a short trip to Disneyland Resort Paris and for the rest of the week I tried to catch up with work around my house and at school.

I have updated the FE list (in my first post and a few posts above this one) as there was a mistake in it! Thanks for letting me know, travelgal and gaislander!

Just a reminder - if you are a silver castaway cay club member or higher, our window for booking excursions, spa treatments and Palo has already opened. We have booked a Palo dinner on Aug 27 - our Nassau day.
Has anyone else booked something yet?

We have booked the bikes at Castaway Cay. That is our favorite activity. The kids had such a blast last time I can't wait to do it again! We are looking to just relax on this trip. I am not even sure we will go to Nassau. The pool is calling our names!!

Agreed! The bikes are great! What a fun way to tour the island (and count crabs) . Where else can you ride around to your heart's content on an airstrip???

I totally dropped the ball with the Varsity Cheer Schedule....they have double practices during the cruise time....so I need to find a new cruise date.

We only booked a Palo dinner! At CC we will find a spot close to the bar and spend the day relaxing and enjoying the view, drinks and sunshine!

Hi all,

Glad to hear you had a nice get away to Disneyland Paris, Karin.

Sorry, I don't think I will be participating in the FE for this cruise. We are boarding the Wonder on August 3rd and disembarking on August 29th. We are staying on for 6 cruises. If I did the FE's for all my cruises, I would need a few more pieces of luggage.

My oldest daughter wants to do the FE when she boards on the 13th. So we may just do that one only.

I would love to be part of any meet that you have. Hopefully, it will be planned before I leave here for the first leg of my vacation.

I will have fun walking around and looking at everyones beautiful FE's.
