August 26, 2010 3 night Wonder cruise

We are also Silver (I think?) and we have not yet paid our cruises in full. :( I do believe our window for our first couple of cruises has already come up? I am not sure how it all works, I am kind of new to this new club stuff.

We are possibly looking at Jet skiing on Castaway. I don't believe I can make reservations online for Palo. Last year it didn't let book one seat, I had to wait until I was actually on the ship.

Our first cruise starts August 3. We did the Magic last year for the entire month of August and really enjoyed it. We are hoping this year we have just as much fun on the Wonder.

I just went on Disney's site. I am not Silver, but Platinum. I guess I can book excursions as soon as I decide to pay in full. That may still be a while.

I really should start to get the ball rolling with paying off some of my cruises. You were smart to start paying it off already!

I have one other cruise booked before Disney, and I have been concentrating so much on that one.

I like that Disney site. I just saw all the perks that each tier gets. Very nice!

Dawn

Disney's site is really nice - lots of things to explore!
And yes, if you are platinum you can start booking your excursions and Palo 120 days before your cruise starts.
I don't think you are in a hurry about booking jet skis for Castaway Cay. We booked our excursions right at the 75 day mark (newbies! :lmao:) and whenever I looked there were the same things available.
We did book our Palo dinner and brunch online though. But I was booking for 4, so I have no idea about booking a table for 1!

Can't wait for this vacation to start, even though we actually booked a weekend get away at DLRP just a few hours ago. We will be there in just two more weeks (12 days to be exact)! :goodvibes

We are very excited to see other families have decided to join us for the FE exchange. This is our first Disney cruise and we're looking forward to participating with you all! :)

We paid in full when we made our land/sea reservations. However, since this is our first Disney cruise, we can't make our other reservations until June. We are eyeing a couple of excursions. We have some time to decide.

We have a couple of trips in the works before August so I'm working on each one as they come up. We just returned from a trip yesterday and I'm digging through another mountain of laundry. ACK -where's the laundry fairy when you need her?

I am as happy as you are about the fact that some more DISfriends have joined us on this trip! The more the merrier! ;)
Don't be too worried about making your reservations. Last year when we were new to all of this I was at my computer at 7am EST ready to check in and do my reservations, but whenever I checked afterwards there was plenty of choice. Which excursions are you looking for - I think the spa treatments will sell out first!
Oh, I can so relate to your laundry and the absense of the laundry fairy! I need to go on a week long school trip next week and I return on Friday at 6pm and we'll be flying to Paris for a weekend at DLRP only 12 hours later - yes, we are off at 6am, arriving in Paris at 10am! Can't wait for that mountain of laundry, :rolleyes1

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, there will be five of us. We are looking forward to it. Three of us will be newbies...they have NO idea the fun that awaits them! I'll get you room numbers as soon as I know them.

I am not in hurry to book. I am in a hurry to get onboard though. :)

I have never done brunch in Palo and would like to try that one day. I have always tried making a reservation for one and it never allows me to for some reason.

You are going to Disney in 2 weeks? That is fantastic! Have a ton of fun.

Karin,

Thanks for your reply about using a TA.

Also, Happy Belated Birthday!!! :bday:

Oh, we can't wait to get back on board as well!
They only do brunch on the 4 day cruises - there are lots of photos in my dining review (it's the "Here's what a little pixie dust" ..... one and there is an itinerary on the first page) or you can go to my homepage and look at the photos. But it was so worth it going there! The food is devine! :thumbsup2

Yes, we are going to Disneyland Paris in less than two weeks! We decided kind of "spur of the moment" (well, it is actually Disney's fault, as they offered me a new AP for DLRP with 6 more months for free, so we just could not refuse!) and we are SO excited about it right now!
CANNOT wait to go there again!

And :goodvibes thank you so much :goodvibes for your birthday wishes! You are right on time - there are still 2 1/2 hours left of my birthday! ;) :flower3:

Hope you birthday was wonderful!

Now get packing, and take plenty of photos for us to see!!

We are definitely interested in the FE exchange. DD is very excited about running around leaving presents. We are going to buy a FE as neither of us is very crafty.

We have just booked DLP as well now in just over 2 weeks. Also Disney's fault they extended their 40% off and kids stay and play free. We had originally looked at a DVC stay using some points before we realised we could carry them over. This deal means that it is cheaper than just buying park tickets! Driving down in company car and using tesco vouchers for the tunnel = 3 days in the parks for about $500 for a family of 4 Hotel, tickets and breakfast in the park each day sorted.

I had a wonderful day and the day after I got a surprise cake from my class! There are photos of it in my pre-trip report!

I promise to take a lot of photos - I hope to be able to do so during my week with the kids as well, so I can post a few of those as well.

But there will be tons of photos from DLRP, I PROMISE!! :goodvibes

We were so happy we had signed up for the FE last summer! It was so much fun to "sneak" around the ship and deliver presents. And nearly every time we got back to our stateroom there was something in the FE!
They do sell them on ebay, but there is a thread on how to do one without sewing! It's on the "hints" thread!
Are you going to do some stateroom door decorations as well? They need to be magnets, but there is magnetic paper you can print on! Our door was FULL - but stupid us took photos of all the other doors, just not ours! :scared1:

:cheer2: How great you are going to DLRP too! It is just such a fun break to be at Mickey's European Home! There's nothing better than a Disney fix! :cool1:

Hi we just booked today! We are Kim (mom) Ryan (7) and Sara (4) Looking forward to cruising with you all!!

We would definately like to participate in the FE if we have one as well. This is our second disney cruise and the FE looks like a ton of fun!

Kim:banana:

Welcome! :woohoo:

It's going to be a fun cruise, with so many DISers on board! :goodvibes

I will put together a FE list a little closer to the cruise - we did that last summer and we had a blast and Tom and I are only kids at heart! ;)
We got lots of comments on our door decorations and FE - and it was so much fun to get back to the stateroom and find something in our FE!

So for those of you more experienced in the FE, Question? Do I leave 3 gifts, one from myself and one from each of the kids or do we as a cabin leave 1 thing? Thanks, I have a ton of cool ideas already!

Kim
